Review for United Spay Alliance, Walkersville, MD, USA
United Spay Alliance is guided by a board of key pioneers of this field who have been so instrumental in the achievements made with spay/neuter to date. Esther Mechler, Peter Marsh and Marvin Mackie have collectively engineered strategic deployment of sterilization programs, and Stacy is a critical key player in professionalizing community cat programs. United Spay Alliance is championing access to sterilization in this country at a time when many national funding organizations are prematurely de-emphasizing it. As someone that works on advancing research on non-surgical alternatives to suppress dog and cat fertility, it is critical that the service providers remain accessible and affordable to serve now as well as add new tools to their portfolio. As someone involved in a 5 county low-cost spay- neuter program I see the pent up demand for sterilization missed during covid shutdowns. I greatly appreciate United Spay Alliance's focus on restoring services across the nation and am pleased to offer this strong review for the non-profit.
Review for ASPCA - American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, New York, NY, USA
The ASPCA is a uniquely effective organization. They invest in innovation that will help reinvent our tools to help animals; evidenced by their long-time support of our Non-profit, The Alliance for Contraception in Cats & Dogs, focused on non-surgical methods of fertility control for dogs and cats. ASPCA leadership has helped strategically guide our non-profit from its beginning and they are a major funder. We would definitely not be where we are today if not for their support.
The A is unique in that it combines highly effective work, daily, on the forefronts of fighting animal cruelty and homelessness in NY and where deployed, and provides critical grants and professional resources to animal welfare organizations across the US. Their strong research dept. helps the field measure and evaluate programs to continue to learn about how to do a better job helping animals.
