I travelled with the Global Autism Project to Indonesia and have donated to many charities in the past. The Global Autism Project stands out from all of these in one major aspect: their aim towards sustainability and how it's all about helping the partner site reach independence. Partners are taught the tools and procedures so they can then have unlimited impact on local services. Volunteering with the Global Autism Project is also an enlightening experience for anyone who wants to collaborate with other, diverse professionals towards a common goal - helping the autism community globally!
