Review for Yesh Tikvah, Cleveland Hts, OH, USA

Rating: 5 stars

THERE IS HOPE!

The National Alliance on Mental Illness Greater Cleveland (NAMI GC) proudly supports the mission, values and vision of Yesh Tikvah. The organization provides a very unique and necessary service in the Jewish community of Cleveland, directly providing financial assistance for those in need of psychotherapy and related services. In May of this year, Yesh Tikvah (which means “there is hope”) was presented with NAMI’s Cultural Competence in Mental Health Award for outstanding service in 2016. Recently they began a program for children and adolescents, directly subsidizing the cost for counseling and related psychological services such as testing. Rabbi Joseph, who founded Yesh Tikvah in 2012 has carefully and skillfully brought together resources from our community to create an organization that fills a tremendous gap, and allows those who may never have had an opportunity to seek help, to access care.
At NAMI, we understand that “access to care” leads the list of problems in the mental health system and thee most difficult obstacle for individuals and families seeking help; Yesh Tikvah removes that barrier. We are grateful to Rabbi Joseph and Yesh Tikvah for the work they do, and look forward to continuing our work together.
