Yesh Tikvah

I had heard about Yesh Tikvah due to their amazing outreach - letting the community know about all that they wanted to do to help others. I was feeling utterly hopeless with something I was struggling with for some time yet felt helpless as my insurance does not have any mental health coverage. Yesh Tikvah did all they could to help support me physically, financially and emotionally. I have recently been discharged from therapy not because I was out of funding but because I was generally better! I thank them and my family thanks them as they have their wife and mother back. They have the power to change lives - they did mine!!!

I oversee a financial literacy program at Jewish Family Service Assoc. of Cleveland. It is distressing to review household budgets, knowing that mental health counseling is a self- identified need - yet, without insurance, this counseling truly is cost prohibitive. As financial literacy is 80% emotional/ 20% intellectual, counseling can play a key role in accelerating financial self sufficiency, reducing anxiety, stress, and shame and improving family dynamics.
Enter Yesh Tikvah!
Real Situation: A middle income family with a high medical insurance deductible had incurred significant debt. Husband and wife disagreed on family finances; tension was acute. Yesh Tikvah provided funding for individual counseling (client has 25% co-pay) and the "real" emotional money issues are being addressed. Our meetings are more productive. Husband and wife have improved communication; overall family stress is declining. Financial self sufficiency goals are now possible.

Yesh Tikvah has been a life saver for some of my clients. Through this organization they are able to get mental health care that would otherwise be unavailable. Yesh Tivkvah works tirelessly to provide assistance to as many families as he can. They recognize the tremendous need in our community and won't stop until the work is done.

This is a very unique organization. It helps individuals who need counseling receive what they need from the psychologists and social workers most suited to their needs. As a "client" who uses Yesh Tikvah's services, I can say this organization does amazing work.

As many people recognize, quite often those who are most in need of a mental health intervention don't have the financial means to pay for those services for the very same reasons that they require them to begin with; their mental health issues may severely hinder their ability to secure and maintain gainful employment. The result of this is often that those most in need of therapy are unable to pay for said therapy, and a viscious cycle ensues - one where the person's mental health continues untreated and thus deteriorates, even further preventing their ability to hold a steady job, leaving him or her ever more impossibly unable to climb out of their financial woes to a point where they can afford the therapy they so desperately need. The end result looks devastating.

I was on this path myself, and if I had not heard about the great work being done by Yesh Tikvah I shudder to think how much further my downward spiral would have continued. This is an amazing and (unfortunately) necessary organization, and I am confident that the lives of those whom YT have helped would presently be impossibly bleak if it were not for their aid. I would even go so far as to say Yesh Tikvah has literally saved hundreds (thousands?) of lives.

Yeshi tikvah is an amazing non profit organization that has helped me get counseling in some of my hardest times like right when I came out of the hospital after a 14 day stay in was able to get counseling and with out them i'dk were I'd be today or if I'd be here today

There are many wonderful organizations in the community, but Yesh Tikvah has filled a gap that was not represented by any of the other organizations, and they do so with privacy and respect.
