The vision and heart of AMR and it's founder are unparalleled. When Andrea first spoke to me about this project, my thoughts as a single mom were "Yes, please"!!! I know the challenges as a single mother and the desperate need for down time that rarely came. The needing time to recharge and regroup or simply get a break. And in order to do so I had to think of the expense of child care plus costs for me to get away.

That being said, I can only appreciate the challenges and just as desperate and most likely a more frequent need for time to recharge, regroup and energize for parents of children with special needs. I can appreciate, but not fully understand, the complexity for those parents to find the appropriate qualified care, the cost of that care AND compound it with the cost of going away. And like me the added stress of figuring out the cost was and is prohibitive.

The vision of A Mother's Rest to provide a place at a deep, deep discount or no cost at all to the special needs (SN) parents where they can recharge, regroup and fellowship with other SN parents is unheard of but much needed. To remove that burden from those who already carry a heavy weight is a blessing. I hope that the full vision of AMR is reached and reached soon and I am proud and happy to be any part of making this happen.
