My name is Robin Kennedy and I am the president of the board for Friends of CASA Hawaii. I am also a volunteer. OUr organization has operated for over ten years with a very small grant that has been hugely appreciated. Until Ticket To Dream Foundation chose us, we were only able to support our 130 volunteers in their efforts to be the voice of our children in foster care. We are advocates for children who have been either sexually or physically abused.
We have hundreds of children in foster care who have most times been ripped from their homes or taken off the streets with only the clothes on their backs. Ticket to dream is changing lives daily in Hawaii and we thank God for them everyday. Our children, who previously may have never gotten a birthday present or been able to go on a school field trip, now have hope. With the support from Ticket to Dream they have clothes that fit and get to play after school sports. It gives them a chance to be "normal" kids and not stand out as a child who lives without.
I could spend hours sharing how many children's lives have been changed by this organization but let me share this, it is making a difference in these kids futures, and the future of our nation. THank you Ticket to Dream Foundation for choosing our non profit in this community to help our children. You will always be remembered.
