Ticket to Dream Foundation

Every year Ticket to Dream provides our little non-profit, Homes of Hope, with essentials, money, holiday gifts and back to school supplies. This in turn helps us care for and support the foster families we serve in our community. We thank TTD on behalf of these vulnerable children and youth! These wonderful donations help them feel Seen, Heard and Valued!

We received a thank you from a foster teen who received a “Birthday Dreams” gift for her 17th birthday. She wrote, “The most exciting part of my birthday was realizing that I’m having a birthday for the first time in 7-8 years.” Imagine how powerful that moment was for her. They have done this. Ticket to Dream Foundation has been our most dedicated partner, providing critical supplies and funding for our foster children. I can't speak highly enough of the tremendous work they do!

My agency has partnered with Ticket To Dream for many years and as a result, more than 175 children/youth in kinship care as well as 75 former foster youth (in our transitional housing program) has benefited for the generous donations. What's exciting is that as a program director, I think in terms of practical items (school supplies, pajamas, socks, etc.); however, the children and youth, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE all of the SOCKS (our older youth really wanted to wear the Sesame Street Bombas socks)!!! We are excited to have access to empowerment seminars, Project Glimmer classes, hygiene and skin care products, shoes, diapers, and financial grants to support special cultural and ethnic programming. When our youth receive gift cards that have a handwritten greeting card for the holidays and graduation, they feel very special and appreciate the fact that someone has taken notice of them. It's always exciting to receive an email from Kayla White with information about a donation and the offerings are always timely. We are serving a lot of infants who are living with their grandmothers and a recent diaper donation was perfect for them as they were waiting foster care benefits. I appreciate the surveys that are used to determine our needs as well as plans for programs/services that meet the diverse needs of our kinship and foster care children/youth. Finally, it's always great to receive a gift card for coffee/tea to honor staff who work with the children/youth.
Ticket To Dream has a focus on supporting organizations that support children/youth in foster and kinship care. They help to fill in the gaps we are not often funded to provided. Once last thing, Ticket To Dream provided an abundance of face masks during Covid and prior to shut down, we received laptops to support our high school and college students.

Ticket to Dream has provided us so many amazing donations. Our families are always so appreciative. The items are relevant, good quality and useful. Thank you so much for your support!

Transitions Children's Services has been a beneficiary of Ticket to Dream's foundation for several years now and I can't thank them enough for all the support they have provided us! Because of their generosity, we have been able to brighten the lives of many children in foster care. Recently we were chosen to participate in their shoe giveaway at Famous Footwear, the smiles on the children's faces were priceless as they got to pick out a pair of new shoes. It was such an amazing day, and I can't thank TTD and Famous Footwear enough!

Ticket to Dream has been a huge support over the last many years. They have provided our youth with much-needed items, experiences they wouldn't have otherwise had, and many more. I am a volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for youth in foster care in Baltimore County, MD. Ticket to Dream has made it possible for our organization to provide programming for our LGBTQ+ youth, our Black Futures grant to support these youth, they provide funds for us to obtain necessities, plan parties, gatherings and outings for our youth. Ticket to Dream is a *dream* to work with, and the foster children of New Jersey are so blessed by our partnership with them. They provide us with direct grant funding, an enormous amount of in-kind product, and special events for our children and families. We have been so blessed to partner with Ticket to Dream! They are such a kind, generous, and fantastic foundation. There is NO foundation like Ticket to Dream. I work at a foster care agency in Minneapolis, Minnesota and we have been partnering with TTD over the last handful of years. The Ticket to Dream Foundation has been an enormous asset to the SENCA CASA Program. Without their generous contributions we would not be able to assist in providing neglected or abused children clothing, shoes, soccer equipment, the list goes on and on. They also provided the program with a laptop that we were able to give to a young girl transitioning from a foster home into a new foster home. She cried when we presented it to her and just kept saying thank you over and over.

Ticket to Dream has been an amazing partner to CASA of Kent County. They are excellent communicators and are easy to work with. Over the last 12 months, we have received winter coats and a selection of socks through TTD's partners. In addition, we have received funding that has allowed us to purchase a variety of items to support children living in foster care. These include a bed, sporting equipment, school clothes, and more. We have also been able to pay for equine therapay for at least one of the children in our county. We are thrilled to partner with TTD!

In my 22 years working with children in foster care I have never seen an organization provide the level of support like Ticket to Dream does. They listen very carefully to the organizations that are on the frontline and are able to tailor their support to the needs of children we support. The quality of the items they send to us are impeccable and the kids get so excited to be able to "shop" for brand new items that make them feel special and just like any other peer around them. Since partnering with Ticket to Dream, it has allowed the Children's Foundation of Las Vegas, formerly the CASA Foundation, to continue our mission to identify and provide for the unmet needs of children in foster care in Southern Nevada. I can not begin to describe the impact that Ticket to Dream has had on our organization, Connect with a Wish, and on on the children in foster care in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. Ticket to Dream truly allows Samaritas Michigan foster youth to go beyond wishes to ACHIEVE their dreams! TTD's support covered emergency housing issues for young adults transitioning out of the foster care system into successful independence. Funds allowed foster families to spend wonderful time together at local water parks, drawing closer bonds. Warm high-quality coats kept foster youth from toddlers up through high school ready to brave Michigan's winter. Samaritas is the largest foster care, family preservation and adoption agency in Michigan and we are so grateful for Ticket to Dream. Keep up the amazing work!

I don't know if I can adequetly explain the impact Ticket to Dream has had on our organization and the youth and families we serve. The funds and in-kind gifts we receive go directly to our foster care families and are immensly appreciated. Recently, we were able to use funds from Ticket to Dream to support a "Family Picnic and ValleyFair Day" for all the foster care families we serve. We hosted 220 people who enjoyed a picnic lunch together followed by a full day of fun at a large local amusment park. Our partnership with the Ticket to Dream foundation has enhanced the way we are able to support foster youth. Their dedication to children in foster care is undeniable and you'll see that in all interactions. TTD have gone above and beyond to show these kiddos that they matter and they deserve to have and experience what every other child has.

Ticket to Dream has allowed The Buckeye Ranch in Ohio the ability to provide the "extras" to our foster children and families that every child should have. Through their generous financial and physical item donations we are able to ensure that each the foster children in our care get to experience "normalcy" while they are going through such a tumultuous time in their life. Just this summer alone our foster youth have been able to go to sports camps, take swim lessons, and prepare for going back to school - all thanks to Ticket to Dream and their immense generosity.

For many years Ticket to Dream has been a valued partner to our organization - providing financial and in-kind supports that help us ensure our foster youth have every possible opportunity to thrive to their full potential. While there are countless ways I could share about the tremendous impact they make, the one I share below continues to be uniquely special.

In late November of 2021, a sibling group of seven children, ranging in age from 4 years old to 14 years old came into the care of our Foster Care program. Those of us in field know that keeping sibling groups together is always best for the youth. But it can be challenging and a sibling group of seven even more so. The dedicated and passionate social workers in our program were able to identify a Foster Mother they felt would be the perfect match - only she had "retired" from being a foster parent in the past year and there was uncertainty if she would have the resources needed to welcome seven children. Knowing we were still in the throws of the pandemic added more concern.

In a moment of perfection, it was at this same time that Ticket to Dream granted us funding to support our foster youth during the end of year holidays. Acting quickly, my team who normally holds a behind the scenes role, chose to forgo our holiday party - opting instead to secure everything the foster mom and seven siblings would need.

Thanks to the immense generosity of Ticket to Dream we were able to purchase bunk beds and bedding, bath towels and laundry baskets, clothing and jackets, pajamas and underwear, socks and shoes, holiday gifts and school supplies, cookware and serving utensils, cleaning products and essentials for sanitization, and so much more.

Ticket to Dream made it possible so that when the sibling group came to the Foster Mother's home each of them had their own unique space complete with everything they needed so they felt welcomed, safe, and cared about. Ticket to Dream made it possible for our Foster Mother to focus all of her energy and attention on providing loving care and support to the children by removing any concerns about her ability to prepare meals and meet basic needs.

While it may sound at surface level like these physical items were the impact made - the reality, as we know in foster care, is the impact was so much more than that. In fulfilling the eldest daughter's holiday list her top wish was to stay close to/not forget members of her birth family. With the funding we received we were able to purchase a polaroid camera, film, and string lights with clips on them. After receiving the camera her Foster Mother shared what a powerful source of healing and hope that was for her - as she was able to surround herself with pictures that she excitedly shared with her Foster Mother, helping them build a strong connection of understanding and trust.

Children thrive best when they are connected to adults who provide nurturing care. As I stated in the beginning this is only one story of how Ticket to Dream is transforming lives and futures. But it's a truly moving example of how in working together we can provide the best possible care for foster youth and we couldn't be more grateful.

Ticket to Dream has been a great partner for us! They constantly are providing for our kids in fun ways that just allow them to be kids. We always look forward to hearing from them.

Here at Inspiritus, our families and youth has been blessed by all the resources provided by TTD! Ticket to Dream provided laptops for our youth at the beginning of the pandemic and continues to support our youth through donations of face masks, clothing, shoes, holiday gifts, and funding for essentials, education, and 1st night supplies. We are so grateful to be in partnership with this great organization whose mission is to support youth in foster care! They are an invaluable resource for this community!

Ticket to Dream is absolutely phenomenal. They have supported our foster youth in so many incredible ways. The generosity of this organization allows agencies like mine to support the children and young adults in our programs in ways we never do without their help. They even reached out to help after a tragic tornado took the the facility where some of our youth worked. They were able to bridge a gap for those youth until they. Ould begin working again. It isn’t only financial assistance, they and their partners help with socks, clothing, shoes, graduation gifts, and so much more. Ticket to Dream is like a dream come true! Over the years they have provided so many wonderful items and funding to our youth in care. from school supplies, to shoes, socks, laptops, holiday gifts and so much more. they are a true blessing to our organization and our families. there are no words for how much of an impact they have on child in care.

Ticket to Dream has supported Olive Crest in so many ways! We've worked with them for several years and every year the support grows in ways we couldn't imagine. I am the CASA for a young man who is just starting college. His computer broke and when I mentioned it to the CASA staff they immediately supplied me with a laptop to give him. When I looked at the label on the box it said Ticket to Dream. What an awesome organization!!

Ticket Dream has been amazing at supporting our foster care program. Form personal hygiene items, school supplies, and funding for summer activities are just some of the ways this organization has ensured that children in foster care have what they need and are supported. Partnerships like this make it possible for the children in foster care and their foster families to thrive.

If we could give more than 5 stars we would! Ticket to Dream is the very best in non-profits. Currently it is so heartening to be able to have the funds to help our foster children be able to enjoy dance, swim lessons, theme parks, soccer and so much more. The clothing, jammies, shoes, socks and toys are so appreciated by our kiddos. We value and respect their continuing efforts to support our children. Wouldn't want to do this without them!

Ticket to Dream is great! They contribute regularly to the nonprofit organization I work for that serves foster youth. So far this year we've received funding for whatever foster children need ($675!), winter coats and gear, backpacks and school supplies, shoes, and laptops for youth aging out of foster care. We love working with them!
