I've always had dogs, since the day I left for college. I knew they were the best ,,but didn't know why.?i had some lucky dogs reach 16 and 18 years old. Deafness was not a topic at my vet. You put them down . No solutions, end of discussion.?Instead , I made up hand signals and they got it quickly! I've read about local chapters and fostered some deaf dogs and loved them . I accidentally started following and buying tshirts from Kellers Cause. They looked new and thought I could do what I could to help from the west coast. Told all dog lovers I knew, told them about the website and FB and how 2?women travelled all over with one, 2, 3, 4 or 5 double Merle's to educate about this preventable deafness and hearing impairment. My father was deaf, too . And I felt sorry for him . But then Kellers Cause taught me impairments or disabilities are what you make them . And they have trained, fostered, raised and rescued a lot of dogs from death row. And their dogs don't just exist, They SHINE! Thank you for all the tips, lessons and videos . Someday I hope you get a van and a big house to help all the dogs in need. If anyone deserves it it is Kellers Cause! ! I'm proud to follow you!!
