A few years ago my 12 year old showed me The Orangutan Project's website and asked if we could adopt an orpahaned orangutan. It is now our family's charity of choice - we give monthly, fundraise, volunteer and have even been on a fundraising trek to see released orangutans back in the wild! The Orangtuan Project is a grassroots organisation that works closely with local communities in Indonesia. They are doing such amazing work to save the orangutan from extinction - and to preserve remaining habitat and I'm so proud to be a part of it.
