We adopted our sweet Lola in March 2016 from Angels Among Us Pet Rescue. My fiance and I had been talking about adopting a puppy for some time. We heard great things about Angels Among Us so we began our search with them. After being approved to adopt, we began to browse through their Facebook and webpage. There were SO many cute puppies and dogs to look at, but we went ahead and submitted a few of the puppies we were interested in. Within no time, we found ourselves going to see a litter of puppies. This was truly the beginning to an amazing experience. We met their foster mom, Adria, who is by far one of the most caring and compassionate people I have met. She was very welcoming and full of great information about each puppy. After holding a few of the squirmy boys, I asked her if we could hold one of the girl puppies --who is now our Lola. :-) I knew right then that she had to be ours and we would do everything to make that possible. Adria is one of the main reasons we felt so sure about adopting and choosing Lola to be ours. Within two days, we met with Adria and welcomed Lola to our home. We kept in close contact with Adria for the few weeks after--and I am still in touch with her today! :-) It was by far the best decision we have made yet as a couple. Lola grew a little bigger each day and is now a 65 lb ball of love. When the time is right, we will begin another search for Lola's sibling with Angels Among Us. I highly recommend this organization and could not have had a better experience! Thank you AAU!!
