We hve been involved for many years, have adopted the majority of our dogs, and look to SCKR for guidance, expertise and caring for our favorite breed.

We have been involved with Southern California Keeshond Rescue for several years now, both as an adoptive family and as volunteers.

SCKR loves Keeshonden and is dedicated to make sure all the dogs in our favorite breed survive and thrive. They scour listings at shelters for Keeshond dogs, follow up on tips about strays and sometimes they are the organization that owners, that can no longer care for their beloved dogs, call to make sure that their pets will find new forever homes.

Susan and Suzanne, and all the volunteers we have met over the years are absolutely dedicated to this important work. We are proud to be "customers" as well as volunteers.

Here is our latest family member adopted from SCKR, Murphy. The Murf-meister has been with us about 9 months now, and is a great addition to our family. He and Bentley (also from SCKR) are buddies and are both happy to have a canine companion.

We love Keeshond dogs. We have had 9 Keeshonden in our family over the years, starting with Keisha in 1983. Back then, we were not aware of Rescue organizations.

Southern California Keeshond Rescue (SCKR) has facilitated our meeting and adopting 4 of our dogs, starting with Sparky in 2001 up to and including our current dog, Bentley.

SCKR loves dogs, too. They exist to rescue homeless Keeshond dogs, provide them with safe, temporary foster care, and find new permanent homes for them with responsible, qualified owners.

We have watched the staff spend countless hours finding dogs that need to be rescued, coordinating (and funding) their medical care, and ultimately screening and finding foster and forever homes.

We have been honored not to just be clients, but to volunteer to help SCKR serve Keeshonden.

We do this to further the motto "...Saving just one Keeshond won't change the world
..but, surely, the world will change for that one Keeshond..."

We have been working with Southern California Keeshond Rescue (SCKR) for many years. We have adopted 4 dogs using their services.

We were impressed enough with the organization to become volunteers with them. We have done home inspections for prospective adoptive families, and this year we did our first fostering of a rescue dog—keeping him until SCKR found him a forever home.

Susan and her all-volunteer staff are dedicated, hard-working and amazing. We are proud to work with (and be clients of) Southern California Keeshond Rescue.

We have adopted 4 Keeshonds from SCKR. Our experience has always been positive. The staff is professional, the foster homes are all screened to make sure that the dogs awaiting forever homes are treated to SCKR standards.

Everyone is dedicated to the dogs—that is the first and foremost focus. I would recommend Susan and her organization to anyone in Southern California looking for a Keeshond.

We have been fortunate to adopt several dogs from SCKR. Susan and all the volunteers are dedicated, responsive and will go to the ends of the earth to protect and support rescued Keeshonden.

It is a pleasure to help this organization.

SCKR has bee the source of our rescue Keeshonds Sparky, Zorro, Rowdy and our current Bentley.

We have been honored to help when we can, transporting a rescue, doing home inspections and supporting them with donations. Susan and her volunteers are passionate, caring people whos first priority is always the dogs.

We are proud to be Keeshond owners, and of the work done by Southern California Keeshond Rescue.

We have adopted several of our Keeshonds from SCKR. They do a great job caring for dogs once in the program, and at finding dogs that need to be rescued from shelters or other turn-ins. They have dedicated volunteers who bring in and foster the dogs, make sure they get treatment and find the correct match.

We have also volunteered and have been a part of the screening process, making sure that the dogs that get adopted will be in the right forever families.

It has been a joy working with and being served by SCKR.
