Words Alive is a vital community organization mobilizing volunteers to bring books and a love of reading to all in San Diego. I am proud to call them a partner and look forward to working with the team on collaborative projects aimed at increasing literacy and a love of reading in our community. Of particular note is their robust volunteer program which engages folks from all over the world. Bravo Words Alive!

Review for Diamond Educational Excellence Partnership (DEEP), San Diego, CA, USA
As an educator I am grateful for the commitment of DEEP and their partners to improving early literacy outcomes for PK-3 students in underserved communities. The data behind DEEP's after school and summer programs indicate that their approach works. They provide new books for children who otherwise may not have access and also address literacy in the community through their Little Libraries.
