I have donated to this organization multiple times because I've seen the camp at work and the effect it has had on many children. The children have been dealt a rough hand in life, but they are shown life does not end and you can still soar. For some, this is their first time meeting another child that lost a parent in the military. That can be life changing to be around others just like you. I will continue to support Knights of Heroes as long as there is a need.

My older son attended one year and aged out. He was excited to return this year as a volunteer for the camp. My younger son just did his third year with KOH and it's the only camp we will continue to attend until he ages out. There are many camps out there they could attend, but none will give my children the guidance, confidence and self esteem to move forward in life. I appreciate mentors are paired up with the children one on one so my boys have someone they can fall back to if they ever get stuck in a rut. My children are are learning what kind, caring men look like in life and I hope they will model them later in life.

Both of my children have benefitted from this camp. The staff exceeds expectations and truly care about all the children. They have happily stepped in to fulfill that father figure role model these children lost when their fathers died in the military. I was happy with the mission, their goals and how my son benefitted last year that I turned around and made my own donation to the camp. I am truly thankful for Steve and the Knights of Heroes Foundation.
