Review for Angels Among Us Pet Rescue, Inc., Alpharetta, GA, USA
I have been trying to work with AAU since 5-7-17, my on-line application was approved on that day with a follow-up phone call. Today is 6-22-17 and I'm still searching. I don't know what happened. I found, I thought, my dog, but I was refused by the foster because of the reason she said she was going to keep the dog. Then I got a phone call about two weeks later from the same foster and she said that fostering the dog didn't work out and I said "are you trying to tell me I can have the dog" and she said" no" I'm tryng to tell you that you can't have the dog because you don't have kids" I again was heartbroken over the same dog two weeks later. I asked her why did you call me I was told 2 week before i couldn't have the dog, and I'm heart broken all over again. This is not right. I was nice about It but I did tell her I thought she was wrong but she had the power and I wish she had not called me all over again about the same dog. Well it wasn't five minuets later I get a text from the foster of the second dog I had wanted and she told me she let someone else have the dog because she was going out of town and the dog had to be gone by that Saturday and they were willing to take him right then, medical problems and all. So I lost that one too.
THIRD INTEREST
So I saw a set of three boy pups that I wanted to see all at the same time to see their personalities. So we set up a time, the foster didn't make it. We set up another appt.(everything was at and on her schedule) so I ran around town until she could meet with me . So I finally got to see them and I told her I wanted to see the most docile, quiet, and calm one. She showed me that one and I held it, it actually crawled around my neck and them went to sleep in my lap. She also showed me another one and she actually" said that pup was "hell on wheels" so I told her I wanted the one I had, the one I was holding, the docile one, and we made a appt. for me to get the dog. She said the dog was not mine until I paid for it so I gave her my credit card. I paid so this particular dog was now mine. She brought me the dog and did the home check and they left. I had everything a pup could want to be happy. The dog actually turned out to be a 4 lb., CUJO. So I got to thinking!!! I looked on the paperwork and medicine she left and she actually gave me the WRONG DOG!!! She gave me the dog she had told me that was "hell on wheels" . She knew what she had done too . She wanted to get rid of that dog so she gave it to me. So I lost out on my dog that I told her I wanted, the third time, because that was a way to get rid of the "CUJO". She did it intentional and never denied it. That is what "most Foster" do , WHATEVER THEY WANT TO DO, NOT WANT IS APPROPRIATE OR WHAT ADOPTOR ASK FOR! I HAVE BEEN PUT THROUGH HELL AND BACK AGAIN. THE ONLY WAY IT WILL GO GOOD IS IF YOU GO TO THE EVENT'S, WHICH I DID, AND ADOPT ON THE SPOT!! AND THEN I'M NOT SO SURE IT WILL GO GOOD THEN. THIS HAS BEEN AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE FOR ME, I HAVE BEEN LIED TO MORE TIMES THAN I CAN COUNT,-- APPTS. HAVE BEEN SET UP AND THE FOSTER DON'T SHOW UP BECAUSE THEIR FAMILY LIFE GETS IN THE WAY, IF YOU ARE PREPARED TO GO THROUGH WHAT I WENT THRU ----GO FOR IT!!!! BUT I WILL NEVER, NEVER GO AROUND THEM AGAIN, OR REALLY WHAT THEY NEED ARE DONATONS. IT SHOULD BE ABOUT THE ANIMALS BUT SOMEHOW THAT HAS GOTTEN LOST!!!! IT'S ABOUT THE FOSTERS!!!! SOMEONE HIGHER UP NEEDS TO READ THIS AND AT LEAST LOOK INTO IT!!! upiI didn't have kids, I found another, I thought my dog, it had some medical problems, I wanted to think about it and by then the foster called me and said she had given the dog to someone else because she had to leave town by that Saturday and the dog had to be gone.
