I have been a volunteer, a foster & adopter (3 kitties so far) for over a year. HSMC is one of the nicest shelter facilities I have been to. All the critters are well taken care of & loved by MANY! I can't say enough about the staff & volunteers!

I have been following BHFER for a few years on FB and this past Saturday I figured I would see what it's all about! I was very impressed by the care, grooming, tidines, love and over all care of the horses, mini, ponies and donkeys etc. All the volunteers were friendly, gracious and full of information on each cherished equine. Many of the equines stories touched me and pulled on my heart strings. I was amazed by the extent they go to - to help the equines with various issues and problems. It takes a very special group to accomplish all this rescue has. Thank you to all that are the voice for those that can't speak and the loving hands and hearts that touch each individual rescue that comes in!
