Assistance League of the Eastside is intentional, thoughtful, and caring. Many times the women that move into Acres feel overlooked, unloved, and unsafe. The welcome baskets that Assistance League provides helps shows the women that they are seen, loved, and safe. The members are constantly asking for input to provide support in the most effective and useful ways. Whenever they host a birthday party, give encouraging cards, or make welcome baskets they do it well. One new resident started to cry when she opened up her welcome basket “all this is all for me?”. Thank you Assistance League!

Compassion, practicality, and detail all wrapped into one organization. The Assistance League of the Eastside is quick to help where they can at Acres of Diamonds. We are delighted by their friendship with our families. Whether they are putting on a recovery/birthday party, writing encouraging cards, or donating welcome baskets their kindness makes an impact in the moms and kids that call Acres home.

They are passionate about helping our moms and kids. Not only do they provide welcome baskets, which make our moms feel at home and set them up for success, but they also show support by hosting birthday parties, serving in our Kids Program, and sending encouraging letters. The members of this organization know that needs change and they are always asking how their support and resources can be most effective. We are blessed by their consistent and continued outreach to our families. Their friendship has impacted our moms and kids in ways we could never fully express.
