Helping Hearts Equine Rescue Inc is an extraordinary rescue that provides medical care and rehabilitates equines that have all but given up hope. Whether they arrive from the slaughter pipeline or from a loving owner that can no longer care for their horse, they are treated with dignity and love. As they heal they realize they have a voice and their personalities begin to shine! Being an all volunteer rescue, every dollar raised goes to the care of the equines in need. Another admirable facet of Helping Hearts' is that every equine adopted out has a forever home at HHER. If they need to be returned for any reason they are welcomed back to the farm. Being a volunteer and an adopter of one of the rescues I can attest to the amazing care given to each and every animal.

I am a volunteer at HHER and I adopted a mini from Helping Hearts Equine Rescue five years ago. President and owner of the rescue, Lisa Post, has been extremely supportive and dedicated to ensuring all rescues in her care and adopted out are well taken care of FOR LIFE!
HHER provides the utmost standard of care. From extreme neglect and abuse cases to owner surrenders, all animals are shown the love that they deserve. The volunteers at HHER are also dedicated, caring for all animals there and helping them decompress and adjust to the wonderful life they have ahead of them at HHER!

Helping Hearts Equine Rescue is a top notch facility. The team of volunteers is lead by Lisa M Post, who is extremely knowledgeable and compassionate. All animals are given the utmost respect and care. There have been several extreme cases that literally owe their lives to Lisa. The loving atmosphere is exactly what they need and they thrive because of it.

Helping Hearts Equine Rescue takes in equines that might intimidate others. The medical and emotional care they receive is is unsurpassed. Watching the transformation of downtrodden, damaged horses, mules and donkeys into confident, healthy companions is remarkable.

I volunteer at helping hearts. Their love and care for these equines in need is amazing. Each one is giving individual attention based on their specific needs. Each animal is treated with the dignity they deserve!
