Review for Birth Roots, Portland, ME, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Birth Roots is an amazing place. What they offer women, children, and families in the community is truly not available anywhere else. Their non-medical model for supporting new parents offers a caring and safe environment for deep learning. Men and women get the information and support they need to feel empowered throughout the perinatal period; facing labor and birth from a place of strength and knowledge, they start their parenting journey off on the right foot.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

I personally experienced the empowerment of Birth Roots before, during, and after the birth of my now two year-old son. I felt ready for the rite of passage that is labor and deliverly. I was completely supported during the post-partum phase with my baby.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I'd love to see Birth Roots expand and be able to serve more people in Southern Maine. That's one reason I got more involved!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

feeling empowered!

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

awesome!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

change the world for the better, one pregnant mama at a time!

Ways to make it better...

I could ahve worked less and hung out at Birth Roots more!

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

not enough money and exposure to get the word out and the work done.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I LOVE Birth Roots!
