Absolutely amazing organization that keeps finding new ways to give with each passing year. Cynthia has inspired a whole new generation of leaders to serve, and to do so in ways that uplift their communities. I can't sing BTSYA's praises enough, and would highly encourage anyone with even a passing interest in BTSYA's mission to reach out to Cynthia and learn how you can get involved. She's eminently approachable and you and her will both learn so much from each other!

Be the Star You Are is led by an amazing woman in Cynthia Brian who is so passionate to service that she is constantly thinking of new ways to improve people’s lives any way she knows how. The organization participates in a diverse set of efforts and initiatives that promote positive media messaging, support natural disaster relief, and empower youth. It follows a multi-pronged approach to achieve each of these objectives, and is always looking for even more opportunities to do good in the community. Additionally, Cynthia puts in hours and hours of her time-in addition to the hours of course needed for everything previously mentioned-to mentor the teen volunteers and help them succeed. Absolutely a great nonprofit worthy of five stars

It's been almost three years since I've started volunteering with Be the Star You Are, and I can say with certainty that joining was one of the best decisions of my life. Here, we have the rare organization that not only does good work for the community, but also actively promotes its volunteers and helps afford them the sorts of opportunities not found elsewhere. I've worked as Lead Host of BTSYA's teen radio show, Chairperson of BTSYA's latest efforts in disaster relief, and even published author in BTSYA's latest positive message media anthology. Nowhere else could I have found such service opportunities, and I look forward to taking advantage of them even more in the months and years to come.

I've been volunteering with Be the Star You Are for! for almost two years now, and I have no plans of stopping any time soon. Cynthia Brian and the rest of the team somehow make it so that the charity not only touches the lives of every single person it's aimed at, but also the lives of every single person involved in the organization. I've seen my speaking skills drastically improve after appearing on the Express Yourself! Teen Radio program, and I've loved having a platform to air my views on important issues. We aim to inspire teens everywhere to express themselves, and it's an awesome added benefit to have been inspired myself after working with this organization.

Be the Star You Are is one of those unique nonprofits that helps its volunteers just as much as it helps the community. I can personally attest to the many different benefits and opportunities that it provides. Whether it's empowering young people through various forms of media or sending books to relieve victims of natural disasters, Cynthia Brian and Be the Star You Are truly care to help. On a weekly basis, teens are able to share their viewpoint on important issues that affect them and others. Our thoughts get broadcast for the entire world to hear. At its core, Be the Star You Are fosters the next crop of world-shakers to develop into their full potential and express themselves!
