It's been a privilege and an honor to be affiliated with Animal Place, a sanctuary for farm animals and much, much more! When my husband and I retired in summer, 2008, we spent a day volunteering at Animal Place and were very impressed by what took place. We enjoyed a variety of activities, including interacting with the farm animals; cleaning up their enclosures; strengthening structures, like fences; and moving items to make the sanctuary more functional for its workers and residents. Our day of volunteering came to a close with a very sumptuous vegan meal prepared by the Animal Place staff. Because we were so impressed with our overall experience, I wrote an article that was published by the Modesto Peace-Life Center's newspaper, Stanislaus Connections, detailing all of the wonderful things that happened that day and all of the wonderful things that happen every day at Animal Place.

We are currently monthly donors and have been for many years now. We enjoy supporting this organization because it makes the world kinder for animals and promotes compassion on our planet, and we have every intention of continuing our support. We are grateful for all of the hard work and dedication that the Animal Place staff demonstrates every day of the year to make this jewel of a sanctuary the great place that it is!
