Animal Place is a great place to educate and expose family and friends to animals commonly killed for consumption. Close contact with the animals is a gentle way to shift someone's perspective.

I have thoroughly enjoyed volunteering at the Rescue Ranch and visiting the Animal Place sanctuary.
