I too have a double merle Australian Sheppard. What Amanda is trying to do is actually twofold. While appealing to the AKC and public to stop the breeding of merle to merle dogs, Amanda is also advocating for them. Many of the puppies that are born from merle to merle breeding are killed shortly after birth. She is showing the world that the dogs, who can have sight and hearing deficits, are still loving companions and advocates for their adoption.
