Review for Bethlehem Haven of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have been to Bethlehem Haven twice, and been equally impressed twice. The organization is to empower women with D & A and or mental health issues to gain control of their life's through long term housing program. Their facility is an open space that was recently renovated. It has clean and modern rooms and beautiful communal spaces for their clients.

Review for Riverlife, Pittsburgh, PA, USA

Rating: 4 stars

Riverlife is a nonprofit that seems to be run like a for-profit business. After my meeting with Jeremy, I knew that he is serious about looking at all positives and negatives of a situation dealing with the future of the organization.

Review for Life's Work of Western PA, Pittsburgh, PA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I was able to visit Life'sWork through my volunteer work with the greatnonprofits website. The experience was a wonderful one. Chris, Director of Marketing and Development, took us around the facility, and showed us the people the serve and the work they do. I was overwhelmed by the size of the operation and the happiness of the clients served.

Review for Sustainable Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA, USA

Rating: 4 stars

Sustainable Pittsburgh is a Nonprofit with a zest for the future. The energetic and initiative staff, make this organization different from other Nonprofits that are not willing to embrace the changing nature of the Nonprofit community. I look forward to see the creative ways they will grow the organization.

Review for Coro Center for Civic Leadership, Pittsburgh, PA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

This organization is focused on developing civic leadership across the country. The programs they run provide tools to gain skills that are hardly ever developed during formalized education or in the workplace. These skills include consensus building, critical and deliberate questioning, and ethical decision making to name a few. The CORO experience is wonderfully unique and builds people within that framework. If you have the opportunity to join or support CORO, I suggest that you do it and enjoy the ride! I'm on the Pittsburgh train and not sure where its headed.....
