NAVS was instrumental in helping us cover the vet expenses for Clancy, one of the cats living at the Broken Promises SW sanctuary. Clancy needed surgery to remove the growths in his ears which are harming his hearing and causing him significant discomfort. Without the grant from NAVS our small and under-funded rescue would have suffered considerable hardship to pay his bill

We are a small non-profit called Broken Promises SW located in rural southern New Mexico, and our mission is to reduce the community cat population through humane Trap/Neuter/Return. We trapped a feral kitten who needed to had an eye removed due to injury. Because our budget does not allow us to fund medical procedures beyond spay/neuter/microchip/vaccinations/ear tipping, we reached out to the Ian Somerhalder Foundation for help. ISF came through and covered the majority of out outstanding vet bill, allowing us to raise the remainder from friends and colleagues. Without the help of the Ian Somerhalder Foundation we would not have been able to give the kitten the care she needed.
