Review for Information Technology Disaster Resource Center Inc, Fort Worth, TX, USA
In late November 2016, fires in Sevier County, Tennessee devastated the community. ITDRC was instrumental in setting up the Volunteer Reception Center and the Call Center (and so many other parts of the response that I probably don't even know about!) with the equipment that it needed in order to help organize the response. It was my first disaster response and I was charged with helping to set up a survivor assistance hotline and start completing survivor intakes.
Were it not for ITDRC, the Call Center would have been impossible. The thousands of survivors we reached out to would have gone un-contacted. ITDRC set us up with all the equipment necessary and helped me troubleshoot every problem, big or small, along the way. I always felt that I was not alone and I knew I could call them at any time for advice or guidance.
Thank you for making my experience on my first deployment much easier. Thank you for setting up the call center (twice!) so that we could make sure that survivors knew how to find assistance. I could not imagine what we would have done without you. Can't wait for next deployment so I can see ITDRC again!
