Review for All Terrier Rescue Hunters Crossing Inc, Aloha, OR, USA
My family adopted a dog from All Terriers Rescue Hunters Crossing when they had an adoption event at the PetsMart on Cascade Ave in Oregon on Saturday, November 26, 2016. When we brought him back to our house, he tried attacking me cats. I panicked and emailed the rescue about returning him. I was told that they only accept returns on Saturdays at 10am. I also called them and spoke to the owner about how to introduce him to my cats. The only thing I was told was to not introduce them and to crate him. The next day, we bought a crate but he broke out of it within 40 minutes. We were concerned about the safety of our cats, so my husband and I decided to post an ad on craigslist in case we had to rehome him immediately. Our powt got flagged immediately so it was taken down. After a few days, the dog was adjusting and things started to calm down. We started bonding with him and realized that we did not want rehome him. On Wednesday, November 30, 2016, I received a call from the owner stating that she was voiding our contract and wanted the dog back on Saturday. She threatened me a lawsuit if I did not comply. My family was devastated and did not want them to take this dog back, so we spoke with a lawyer that informed us that they have dealt with this organization before because they sued a previous adopter for breach of contract; however, the lawyer had the case dismissed. I also has him and a couple other lawyers look over my contract and every one of them stated that they saw no breach of contract. Unfortunately, we could not afford to defend ourselves in court if she decided to sue us; therefore, we gave her our dog on Saturday December 3. My family is devastated. We also were not refunded the $300 adoption fee that we gave them and from my understanding they are going to put the dog up for adoption again for an additional $300 adoption fee. The way they conduct business is very shady and unprofessional.
