Review for Kidpower International, Santa Cruz, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have been involved with Kidpower for 20 years, beginning as a volunteer. I have experienced interaction with this wonderful organization as a volunteer, mother of a child lucky enough to recieve these safety skills from age 5 through adulthood, instructor trainee, instructor, community liaison and Board Member. Our lives have been enriched through increased confidence in all of our interactions with people and our knowledge that we live safely every day. My continued work with Kidpower is to bring this confidence to others.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

My life has been positively impacted through taking classes, then teaching classes, and witnessing my daughter and others approach and engage in life activities feeling more confident and safe.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I will just continue to help to improve the quality of knowledge/skills provided and to assure that we can be more visible and available to the community at large.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The opportunity to provide my child with a safer approach to life and the ability to help provide that same experience for the community.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Professional and committed and always enjoying what they do!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Have a profound and lasting impact on people of all ages and their ability to engage in life and interact with all people in a confident and safe way.

Ways to make it better...

I had more time to be more involved.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Sustainability in the face of these economic times.

One thing I'd also say is that...

Kidpower is a truly wonderful organization which has the passion, commitment and skills to bring people of all ages vital life safety skills. The world is much better place because of them.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every month

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2010

Role:  Board Member & As Kidpower Board President, I work with Board Members and Kidpower staff to create and engage in activities which will help to sustain, grow and improve this organization so that we can continue to provide these valuable people safety skills.
