Recently I attended the 5K Mesothelioma hike at the Paramount Ranch in Agoura Hills. The setting was beautiful, a set location of a western town with a backdrop of mountains that seemed to protect this magical place of a time gone by. The Pacific Heart Ling & Blood Institute thought of everything that could make the day perfect for all who attended while at the same time making sure that all of those who lost their battle with mesothelioma were remembered. I found myself walking for those I did not know personally but whom I felt deeply connected to, knowing that each step I took was honoring those who can't be there and those who are just beginning their fight with this devastating disease. What a great event for such a worthwhile cause.
