Gardners House is dedicated to those women and men that has been diagnosed
and touched by Breast Cancer, and not just Breast Cancer, but "Cancer"...They are a caring team of support, as the CEO herself has directly been affected by this dreaded disease, not once but several times. A Cancer diagnosis can be hard to deal with alone, Gardners House ensures that no one has to suffer in silence...no one has to go to their appointments alone, no one has to be without basic human necessities, no one has to loose their home or place of residence, because they are not able to go back to work to maintain their families lifestyle...Gardners House is a shoulder to cry on, a listening ear, a caring heart, they work tirelessly to help those families regain their sense of worth, to realize their purpose to give them that praise team of encouragement to help and support those families through these turbulent times so that they can keep on living, keep on striving and to be their own champions in their lives....Gardners House is that kind of place.

I have been an active volunteer member and Breast Cancer Survivor of Gardners House for many years, supporting Gardeners House on community outreach, identifying housing opportunities for clients and fundraising efforts and where needed. Gardner's House is one of the few community organizations that help clients financially with immediate need such as rent, food, & utilities...Gardners House support their client during the most vunerable times of their lives with emotional support...after the Doctors, Nurses and APRN's are long gone...Gardners House is still there, helping the clients as best possible....There should be more organizations like Gardners House that shows empathy, support and Love to their clients like Gardners House does.

I have been an avid supporter of Gardner's House for more than ten years. Gardner's House not only support Breast Cancer Survivors, but support the population that is affected by all types of cancers. Gardner's House support goes beyond the ride to an appointment, office visit and diagnoses....support continues through emotional, mental and physical support, food, shelter, child care expenses, Gardners House make every effort to cover all services that are needed to the client base. Gardner's House is a much needed resource in the City of Hartford. There is not a community organization in the City that has the extended basic need services that Gardner's House provides.

I have worked with this organization on several occasions.."Pop-Up Health" Booth, Merchant Outreach, Free Ultra sound Campaign, Holiday Party, Pretty In Pink Ball. Gardners House reaches out to those in the community for moral, emotional and financial support. Gardner's house is a resource for those looking for assistance, who have been turned away by larger agencies. Gardner's House...fuel for the soul.
