As a classroom teacher for 4 years and now an instructional technology coach and facilitator at the High School level , I can honestly say that TFI is doing tremendous work in Charlotte, NC. They are bringing together highly qualified and highly competent teachers from both the public school system and the private system and allowing these teachers to share best practices with one another and providing professional development for educators unlike any other that I have seen in the district. It is truly a unique program and one that could and should be replicated across the country. Educators need an organization like this to advocate on behalf of educators and an organization like this that provides the sort of professional development and support that is not available through a school or through a district. I am proud of my affiliation with TFI and am thankful to have the relationships I do with other educators in the program.
