I have worked with Movement Exchange for going on three years now! I founded one of their many university chapters at Barnard College in New York City. My experience with Movement Exchange has been life changing. It has pushed me to creatively dive into my community in order to improve the lives of those around me. It has helped me build community and cultural awareness on my campus. And most of all it has shown me the power of dance as a diplomatic act of world change! Through Movement Exchange I have hosted cultural dance workshops at Barnard College and Columbia University, taught free after school dance classes at elementary schools in Harlem, and traveled to Panama to teach dance at orphanages there! Joining the Movement Exchange family is truly a rewarding experience.
