Review for The Dragonfly Foundation, Cincinnati, OH, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Our daughter was 24 years old when diagnosed with EHE liver cancer. She was referred to Cincinnati Children's because of the rarity of this cancer. There are no organizations that I know of besides the Dragonfly Foundation that provided encouragement and activities for families to build memories for young people over 18. Our daughter was twice given less then two weeks to live but we had her for another 9 months. I forgot to mention she had a daughter only 1 1/2 yrs old when diagnosed. Through Dragonfly they went to Disney on Ice, The Reds baseball games, and a special Christmas gathering for Dragonflys. These times were so special to our family and especially to our daughter Alicia and granddaughter Lillian. When given no chance of survival, Alicia survived by looking forward to the next outing. This year in memory of Alicia's birthday, her daughter asked for friends and families to donate new toys and gift cards to Dragonfly. When we delivered all our donations there was over $1100 donated. They are growing so quickly I know it is hard for them to keep up with the demands but there are not enough positive adjectives to describe what this organization means to the families they support not just in gifts and activities but in the moral strength and support they give even after one of their dragonflys pass on. If there us anyone reading this that can help a remarkable group, please consider The Dragonfly Foundation. Debbie Thomason mom of a Dragonfly who has her wings
