Review for Tim Brauch Foundation, Soquel, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

As a skateboarder myself since 1975, skateboard industry participant since 1985, as well as live event production experiences in action sports world-wide since 1998, I cannot express the amount of admiration I have for the Tim Brauch Foundation.
The Tim Brauch Foundation is a wonderful organization that honors the memory of San Jose native professional skateboarder, Tim Brauch. Tim is appreciated globally for his prowess on a skateboard as well as his welcoming personality. Since their inception 18 years ago the Tim Brauch Foundation has represented his legacy well with a balance of excellent skateboarding events while continually giving back to the community and youth in general with their programs. Unique to their organization (as far as I know) is their "Junior Board Member Program" that embraces youths who show interest in the inner workings of the organization. These participants are given opportunities to help facilitate all aspects of event planning from initial discussions right through to final execution. This is sort of experience will be indispensable later in their lives for problem-solving skills.
The Tim Brauch Foundation is dynamic in that they are are always looking for avenues to embrace a greater portion of the community. They have their "Send A Kid To Woodward Camp" program, tried and true. While newer is their exciting "Interactive Art Connection" program, which reaches out to children in Bay Area hospitals through art. Program leader Scott Greathouse is an accomplished artist in his own right and retains that shining personality, reminiscent of Tim Brauch himself.
