The Tim Brauch Foundation is a 5-star nonprofit because of many reasons. This foundation cares for everyone and helps lots of people. I am a new junior board member, and so far, the Tim Brauch Foundation is a fun, successful, and awesome nonprofit. It far exceeded my expectations and I love to be a part of this great foundation. Every meeting, there is always new, fun stuff like a mural being painted or being able to work on a fun project for sponsors. All of the board members are very nice and have a great attitude, and I can't wait for the skateboarding competitions and getting to work a lot more with this nonprofit. Anyways, the Tim Brauch Foundation is as good as it gets.

Tim Brauch is a huge asset to our community here in Santa Cruz and to all kids that love to skate. Not only do they grant scholarships to kids to attend skate camps, they also provide local high school and middle school students opportunities to learn how a nonprofit is run and awesome skills like grant writing, event planning and tons of other projects.

The Tim Brauch Foundation is the best!! Not only do they host world class skate contests every year, they fundraise for community projects, enrich children's lives through art, and give out scholarships to kids to go to Woodward! The Foundation's Junior Board Program empowers youth in our community and gives them applicable skills in event organization, grant writing, nonprofit management and more. The Tim Brauch Foundation blows me away with the ability to serve young people in the area under the passions of skateboarding culture and art, which were loved by Tim and continue to honor him. As a board member, I am inspired by everyone involved! The board is composed of adults and junior board members that make the entire vision come to life, which instills character, integrity, and leadership opportunities especially for young people. I could not be more honored myself to get to serve as a board member, and I thank Cindi for allowing me the opportunity to participate and for her mentorship. I am excited for what's to come!

I have had the honor of being involved with the Tim Brauch foundation for over 10 years. My whole family has been involved in a number of ways - the board, advisory board, junior board, volunteering and watching the amazing skate contests. The organization brings so much goodness to the world through both its skateboarding and art initiatives. In the process of raising funds to provide scholarships to Woodward West and collaborate on art programs for youth in extended care situations, the foundation empowers our next generation of leaders on the junior board, giving them an equal voice regardless of age and ownership of responsibilities to help achieve agreed upon goals, All of these leaders embody the mission inspired by Tim, and model self respect, perseverance, independence, creativity and integrity. Through skate, art and friendship, the Tim Brauch Foundation has created a community that continues to be inspired by Tim and dedicated to honoring his legacy.

I am an independent third party who does the books for the Tim Brauch Foundation for the last 2 years. In that time, I have witnessed the monthly operations of the board, made up by a mixture of adults and young people. What many may not realize is that not only does the Tim Brauch Foundation offer scholarships to kids, but they mentor young people on how non-profits and businesses work, how to brainstorm and project manage events, and how to do professional writing. This foundation is focused on kids' personal development throughout. I've been very impressed with the integrity of the organization.

By providing the opportunity for the Santa Cruz and CA youth to participate in Woodward West the Tim Brauch foundation is supporting the active outdoor skateboarding lifestyle in our communities. Bring together young skateboards and artists from around CA to build confidence, friendships and a supportive community. My time with Tim Brauch has truly been eye opening. I was amazed with what this non profit does for the children. After the under privileged kids that had the opportunity to go to Woodward, they came back different people. They were so inspired by what the world has to offer and didn't realize that these opportunities were obtainable to them. It was really heart warming to see an organization make a noticeable and positive impact on people.

My son dreamed about going to Woodward, but it was financially out of reach for our family. He was over the moon when the foundation notified us he had been chosen for a scholarship. The Tim Brauch Foundation affords kids the opportunity to challenge themselves in many other ways besides skating—though that is the major draw. A week at camp is a chance to build confidence and become more independent. I cannot thank the foundation enough for the work that they do.

Children who have had the opportunity to attend Woodward have returned home with new found confidence and maturity. They are able to find and excel at their passion all the while learning life-building skills.

Tim was a tour advocate not only for skateboarding but for children and the arts.

Tim Brauch sent me to camp, where I had a great time! I learned new tricks and made new friends. The best part is I got to go in the Wrecktangle for the first time. The Wrecktangle is a parkour-ninja warrior course. Also, there's skate parks everywhere you go! and the roaster coaster (which used to be a pump track) was paved! so the skate boards could go on it.

The Tim Brauch Foundation has become a fiscal sponsor for a number of large scale mural projects with local schools and non-profits. I have worked with the foundation on public art pieces advocating environmental issues through community outreach programs. Without the help of the foundation, we would not have been able to accomplish some of the largest projects in the City of Santa Cruz with 10 international muralists. They have helped us secure grants and continue to inspire thousands of people in our community each day through public art. I am extremely lucky to have such a close relationship with such an amazing nonprofit.

So inspiring when a non-profit rocks its mission the way “Tim Brauch” does. This is really an amazing association of community-oriented, service-minded people creatively collaborating to provide a unique outlet for valuable training, healthy play and meaningful art to skaters, artists and hospitalized children. The foundation also earnestly involves and supports other young people by tapping their varied talents in real ways to be part of the structure of the non-profit and learn to actively "give back." Tim Brauch helped my two sons get to skateboarding camp this summer at Woodward West. It was an absolutely amazing experience and definitely has shaped their character and drive going forward. What is most beautiful about the foundation is it is not based on skate ability (even though Tim Brauch was an amazing skateboarder), but instead it is based on the attitude of the child and what they contribute to their community. We will definitely be applying for this scholarship again in the future and we try to live our lives on Tim brauch’s principles each day.

The problem about Woodward is that its over $1000. A lot of kids like my self dream to go but can't afford it. I have now gone 3 times with a scholarship from the Tim Brauch foundation. If there were only one word to describe the Tim Brauch Foundation and it's members, that word, for me, would be inspiration.

The Tim Brauch Foundation's passion to preserve and share the memories, the love, and the legacy of Pro
Skateboarder Timothy "Tim" Michael Brauch who passed away suddenly in 1999 at the age of 25 due to a heart condition.

The foundation continues to share the legacy and the impresson Tim made on countless friends along his path of
life around the world. They teach valuable experiences, core values , life lessons, and leadship skills to young children, teens, and adults alike all through positive mentorship and a true passion for the foundation's message.

Much of their message is fueled by the remembrance and spirt of Tim Brauch who belived in, and lived life to it's fullest everyday while making a positive impact on the people he met around the world while inspiring their lives.

The lives that are touched by the foundations efforts inspire long term positive change of these individuals which help them reach goals and have un-forgettable experiences which they may not otherwise have access to.

The foundation, inspires individuals to take the time to live life to it's funnest, it's fullest and to make a positive impact on those who cross our paths along the way.  Like Tim, The Tim Brauch Foundation embodies this message.  Through his spirt, they are a shining light...an active, living oragnaization that inspires everyone that it touches and give hopes to dreamers and make those dreams come true.

I have been fortunate to be a witness, a participant, and a recipient of the dedication and hard work the foundation provides to so many people throughout the u.s. and the world. I am truly thankful for the Foundation, all of it's members and their passion.

Year round volunteers work very hard behind the scene to make this event so succesfull. The foundation consists of an adult board and a JR. Board. The JR. board consists of high school students, whom are very passionate about the cause. These JR board members demonstate responsibility, dedication, working as a team, giving back to their community and even learn how to write grants! Not only is the event AMAZING to watch, it is a worthy cause. The monies raised sponsor less fortunate kids to attend skate camp. They are an excellent partner in the action sports community. They bring enthusiasm, positivity and professionalism to every interaction I have with them. The Lake Cunningham Skate Park is looking forward to a long standing relationship with this outstanding group of people for years to come!

I've been working with the Tim Brauch Foundation for 3 years now, and I'm continually impressed by how professional and hard working the people behind it are. They've consistently done incredible things like producing events like the Tim Brauch Memorial Skate Contest–an event that would be logistically challenging for any organization. I've also seen the amazing skills this organization has been able to impart to their youth volunteers. The business skills and positive youth leadership training is such an incredible opportunity for the kids. When the youth volunteers speak about it, you can see it in their faces. These are great people doing great work.

As a skateboarder myself since 1975, skateboard industry participant since 1985, as well as live event production experiences in action sports world-wide since 1998, I cannot express the amount of admiration I have for the Tim Brauch Foundation.
The Tim Brauch Foundation is a wonderful organization that honors the memory of San Jose native professional skateboarder, Tim Brauch. Tim is appreciated globally for his prowess on a skateboard as well as his welcoming personality. Since their inception 18 years ago the Tim Brauch Foundation has represented his legacy well with a balance of excellent skateboarding events while continually giving back to the community and youth in general with their programs. Unique to their organization (as far as I know) is their "Junior Board Member Program" that embraces youths who show interest in the inner workings of the organization. These participants are given opportunities to help facilitate all aspects of event planning from initial discussions right through to final execution. This is sort of experience will be indispensable later in their lives for problem-solving skills.
The Tim Brauch Foundation is dynamic in that they are are always looking for avenues to embrace a greater portion of the community. They have their "Send A Kid To Woodward Camp" program, tried and true. While newer is their exciting "Interactive Art Connection" program, which reaches out to children in Bay Area hospitals through art. Program leader Scott Greathouse is an accomplished artist in his own right and retains that shining personality, reminiscent of Tim Brauch himself.

Lets see, where do I start ? I was at the very first TMB contest in a parking lot, WOW how this contest has taken on a life of its own! This has grown to a world class event because of the board and Jr board members. This is the only contest I know of that with the help of its board members, raise money to put kids through the best skate camp around.

How awesome is that !!!!

A friend of mine got me to voulenteer for The Tim Brauch Foundation a couple years ago. Getting to see my favorite skater from when i was a kid, Steve Caballero was awesome. The kids love the events they put on, as do all the adults. I have seen how hard everyone on the board works to keep it going, I dont know how they find the time in their day. The money they raise goes to sending kids to camp woodward, I could only imagine how excited I would have been if I got to go when I was younger.

I'm always so happy to be a part of the Tim Brauch Foundation's 2 annual skateboard contests. Everybody volunteering at the contest is super helpful and willing to work hard while still having fun and raising money for a great cause, the best part about volunteering is getting to see all your hard work put to use when the scholarship recepiants get sent to Woodward West. Every year that I volunteer my time I work at both Scotts Valley, and San Jose Contests helping out our Chef Andy Colehower that comes in, or manning the grill when he isn't around. We each get two 30 minute breaks thorough ought the day and at the beginning of each contest we have a meeting to get everybody prepared for the day where we also receive an envelope with 6 drink vouchers, 2 food vouchers, and 1 T-shirt voucher to make sure we're all fed and watered.

The Tim Brauch Foundation is such a blessing to the sports industry! My two son's have both received scholarships for Woodward West skateboard camp from the Time Brauch Foundation and we are so incredibly thankful! What this foundation does for kids is amazing! They truly care and are in it wholeheartedly for the kids and the sport. That is why they are so successful and I would highly recommend them for award and donation!

I was blessed to know Tim Brauch and I love supporting the Tim Brauch Foundation in his honor. They put on super awesome skate contests, send youth to Woodward West skate camp, they have a junior board to mentor youth and teach them business skills, and they also sponsor an art program that goes into hospitals and under funded schools to teach art. This is a wonderful non profit!!!

My experience with the Tim Brauch Foundation has been a great experience on many levels. Working together with other board members and volunteers toward a common goal of getting kids to Woodward West, we plan and collaborate all year and then run two contests in two different cities. We have an amazing group of board members, honorary board members, and volunteers. I'm really proud of all our efforts and the fact that we are able to ultimately send kids to an awesome camp AND we have increased that number every year. Its also a great feeling to volunteer, give back to the community, and be a part of our exciting events. Tim Brauch Foundation is pretty amazing!

I am pleased and proud to have been asked to join the Board of the Tim Brauch Memorial Foundation. The Board's goal is to send kids to an action sports camp, Woodward West, for a week where they will likely have the time of their lives. It couldn't be more rewarding. We meet monthly (more often as the contests near) to discuss, plan, organize, and construct our objectives. Its great being a part of such an enterprising group of people.
We work hard all year to make these events happen. I am proud of our collective contributions to a greater good.

What i like about the foundation is that we, as a group, get to put togeter both a street contest and a pro bowl contest that has pro skaters such as Steve Cabillero. I have been participating with this contest since i was three years old, and watching how it has progressed is insane. Being a Junior Board member is awesome because I get to help decide and help make descisions that shape the contest. Another awesome thing about the Tim Brauch Foundation is that we send kids to WoodWard. THE TIM BRAUCH FOUNDATION ROCKS!

The Tim Brauch Foundation is a fantastic non-profit that promotes physical activity through skateboarding. As I have been skateboarding since I was eight, I appreciate the positivity that this organization has created throughout both the sport and the surrounding cities. The contests and scholarships have shown the true compassion and commitment that skateboarders have.

This foundation has been around for along time and the Jr member have been killing it. They do so much to help kids go to skate camp at woodward west. Most of the kids would never be able to go to a camp like this. This is also the longest running bowl contest around and it's only going to get better as the youth keeps it going! Tim's spirit lives!!! Being a board member and part of this contest for the 4 years have been RAD!

I have been a board member for 2 years and have volunteered as medical response at the fundraising skateboarding events since 2005. The event itself draws many people who represent the skateboard community. Everyone from professional skateboarders to young kids who just love to roll around, can participate. Others get to see the youthful fun of skateboarding at the contest site. The San Jose fundraising event is an exciting place to participate in raffles, music, and viewing exceptional skateboarding. The Tim Brauch Foundation is also the vehicle to allow kids to apply for a chance at going to camp @ Woodward West. This is a chance of a lifetime for most. Woodward is the equivalent of a 5 star resort for action sports, and caters to kids in a camp environment. The Tim Brauch Foundation fosters an active lifestyle through skateboarding and connecting with the true skateboarding family that extends beyond the riders.

We (Consolidated Skateboards) had a booth a the last Tim Brauch Memorial Skate Contest, and I have to say, it was one of the most fun, feel good, events I had attended! We had such a great time and Cindi did such a great job in making sure everything went seamlessly....there were no blips of which I was aware of.
I hardly ever write reviews on anything, but I just had to with this, because everything was so great about it. I can't say it enough about what a great event this is, so we'll just leave it at that!

I've been so impressed by the dedication of all the members at not only keeping the memory of Tim Brauch alive, but also for the impact the foundation makes in the community. The junior board members are instrumental in the success of the foundation. They donate their talents and time and pull off the most amazing skateboard contests every year. Many skateboarders who participated in past contests have gone on to sponsorship or professional careers. Their impact is far reaching and the foundation is also creating future leaders.

Another incredible event in the books in San Jose, which just gets better and better each year. Being one of the lucky one's to hover over a BBQ for most of the day, I have the reward of feeding hungry skaters and attendees... creating big smiles. One word for the entire event? Family. The volunteer crew that Cindi has put together is amazing, all for a great cause, in honor of Tim Brauch. The people who organize and volunteer for this foundation are inspiring and incredibly dedicated. They honor the spirit of Tim Brauch by helping others become better human beings. I imagine he has been very stoked since this thing started 15 years ago.

I have volunteered the past three years and attended longer than that. This place is about giving back...about funneling as much as possible into helping kids hone their life skills at a skate camp or contest… and to discover their passion and be given the opportunity to run with it. That is priceless for anyone, especially a kid.

The people here are fun to be around. No attitude or exclusivity, this place rocks across the board. They are totally professional, in addition, which was such a plus. You feel like things are being managed, but you don't feel like someone is telling you what to do. They are just happy to see you and they make volunteering there a blast!

Thank you for giving ME the opportunity to be helpful!

I had the honor of volunteering at the Tim Brauch Memorial Fund Skate Contest for the sixth year in the row. However I have been going to this contest since i was born. Each year it has gotten increasingly better wether it was food, sponsors, the raffle or even the Tim Brauch T-shirts. This year there was an extreme amount of new ideas that truly brought the contest to a new level. Thanks to the Tim Brauch Junior Board. There was a new Tim Brauch Logo, Red Bull Truck, Red Bull Tent, 10 autograph skate desks for the raffle and much more. On top of what the Junior Board brought to the table what the competitors brought this year was better than ever. Overall the contest was a complete and utter success and I was so happy to be a part of something so amazing.

For about two years I have been on the junior board of the Tim Brauch memorial fund. My time as a volunteer is spent looking over graphic design for T-shirts and posters, looking over past events and seeing what Tim Brauch memorial fund has done well and things that we can improve on. It is always a great learning experience volunteering on the junior board and I have learned very much, an example of this is customer service. Learning how to always be respectful to customers and fellow work mates. I have brought this trait into my home life weather it is with my parents, teachers, or friends. This has been one of the best work experiences I have ever had.

I volunteered for the Tim Brauch Memorial Skateboard Contest last year and loved it! It was such a fun event put on by great community leaders. As a volunteer I got a free T-shirt as well as pair of Vans shoes. The raffles had tons of product from all different companies which showed the support it receives from the skateboard community. I highly recommend either volunteering, donating, or attending the annual skateboard contests they hold. The Tim Brauch not only supports local youth by paying for the skatebaord camps and creating skateparks they provide a space within their contests to allow the children to show their community the skill they have acquired through hard work. It was so much fun watching everyone from the pros to the small kids. I really felt while volunteering that I was helping and engaging with the community.
