I am an enthusiastic Board member of Partners for Development (www.PfD.org)! As an experienced international development professional, I am choosy about the organizations I support, and what I value about PfD is that it works for and through LOCAL community organizations serving the poor. Also, the interventions are designed for lasting impact-- involving communities from the beginning and helping them gain the skills to carry on the work afterwards. Finally, the organization is very resourceful in making good use of donor money, relying heavily on resident country staff in Asia and Africa, and keeping the headquarters organization lean. I have worked for a multilateral development Bank, two non profit organizations, and several consulting firms, and the dedication and results I have witnessed at PfD, and the collaborative work we have done on the Board has been among the most rewarding of my career. I am proud to support PfD and I invite you to as well!
