Review for Romanian League in Defense of Animals, Crofton, MD, USA
In Belgium I was lucky to work as inspector volunteer for the Flemish Animal Welfare organisation. I am doing what I think to be right for our local animals. Once I got contact with Dana from ROlda. She badly needed support and network to survive the critical situation of the Romanian dogs. Firstly I was curious and a bit excited to visit the shelter of Galati but once on the spot my joy changed deeply in sadness. In fact I had left my West European confort zone to visualize another world. Dog dying on the streets, puppies crossing the few highways of the country. Not enough time to describe what I saw.
ROlda did an amazing job on the East coast of Romania. They gave a second chance to more than 600 souls. They are not only watching on dogs but they respect them what you won't find often in other shelters, simply check the social media. ROlda built a clinic but needs material, surgery tools etc... NO definitely ROlda does not look for the Hall of Fame but ROlda is only looking to what you can do to show your love for these dogs. So if you never experienced the love and the gratitude that a Romanian dog unconditionally will offer you just take action right now.
