POGO is a powerful counterbalance to the corporate lobbying forces that overshadow our ability, as individuals, and as employees of government funded institutions/contractors, to be heard in Washington DC. Indeed, POGO speaks truth to power and, a such, is a threat to those who consider "public service" little more than a license to steal, meaning to reward themselves and their donors at the expense of the legitimate needs of our republic, founded on the principal that serving the needs of its people was to come above all else which, in today's world, if often the exception rather than rule. My opinion of POGO is rooted in my firsthand experience, as a person who blew the whistle on fraudulent activity occurring at a world renowned federally funded nuclear weapons facility located in Los Alamos, New Mexico.
