POGO's work is essential, and if not unique, at least extraordinary.

POGO's nonpartisan research, watch dogging, public education and advocacy are all the more essential when the nation faces so many critical challenges in the face of constrained resources, and as when special interests spend billions of dollars seeking to snow the public and public decision makers with blizzards of misleading propaganda.
