We adopted Melitta, whose name is now Callie, and she is the sweetest pup I have ever known. The adoption process was great - I was contacted very soon after applying and received approval after the information in my application was verified and a phone interview. I was then offered suggestions on several dogs - and Callie was one of them. Because I had been pre-approved, which I highly recommend, she was ours if we wanted her. Her foster Mom got in touch with us as soon as she heard we were interested and sent us pictures and information, which we really appreciated. We visited Callie at her foster home with our other dog to make sure they got along, and one week later we picked her up and brought her home. She is such a wonderful dog, her foster Mom had a hard time giving her up; but she did and we cannot thank her enough. To think that Callie might not be alive today if not for OPH. Thank you for all you and your volunteers do for these wonderful, deserving animals.
