Review for Coalition To Salute Americas Heroes, Williamsburg, VA, USA
When I was injured in 2005 serving in OIF III it took 3 years for the VA to get us going in the system and we fell behind on all our bills. Luckily we were introduced to the Coalition to Salute Americas Heroes and they were able to stop our electric from being shut off and us being homeless. I was also lucky to have found a job through their Heroes Thanking Heroes Program which helped me work from home and help supplement our income so we did not fall back into the same situation as before. My family is forever grateful to the Coalition for changing our lives. ~Sgt. Perez (Ret.)
Review for Coalition To Salute Americas Heroes, Williamsburg, VA, USA
In 2005 when I was 1st injured my family and I struggled with bills and food and not knowing where we were going to stay after a honorable discharge but 0% from the Army. My wife and I continued to work various jobs to make ends meet. In 2008 we where fortunate enough to receive help from the Coalition to Salute Americas Heroes in which they payed our late payments on rent and utility bills that helped get us through the cold winters in Colorado. They also invited our family to attend a Road to Recovery conference which helped provide workshops and seminars to help get us back on track with sustainability for our future. Myself and my wife where both asked to be a part of a program within the Coalition to Salute Americas Heroes organization in the capacity of a call representative where we made thank you calls to our generous donor's that helped with our financial dilemma in 2005. If it was not for the Coalition to Salute Americas Heroes I don't know where we would be today. They have helped us sustain work and residency and we are very grateful that they continue to do this for many more veterans and their families. I also want to add how disheartening it is to see how some Veterans or spouses have tried to blemish this great organization after being helped themselves by them. I only pray that they will come to realize when they struggled this organization was there for them.
Thank you!
