Review for Lost Our Home Pet Foundation Inc, Tempe, AZ, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have been involved with the rescue community for many years as a volunteer, and a "Foster Failure" more than once. Three years ago, one of the rescues I work with asked me to spring a little girl from county that was in bad shape and going to be put down. Something in her eyes when we met spoke to my soul and I knew I could help her. It took me two years and several surgeries but Molly (named after the "Unsinkable Molly Brown") was a delight. She was finally 100% healthy, loved to cuddle and swim just one problem, Molly and one of my other rescues, a Jack Russell named Baby, would get in hellacious fights, usually over food or affection. Just before Christmas last year one of those fights occurred and Baby nearly died. The vet made it perfectly clear that I had to give up one or the other, that Baby could not come back to that home environment. I held Molly and cried and cried. I begged friends to network her to find her the perfect home. Finally I called my friend Jodi Polanski, Executive Director and Founder of Lost Our Home and without hesitation she had me bring her Molly. Everyone at Lost Our Home feel in love with Molly and her sweet personality. I did not know that I was just Molly's long-term foster until she was healthy enough mentally and physically to find her forever Mom. The best Christmas present I got last year was when Molly was adopted on December 26th. Molly and I can never repay Lost Our Home for being there when we both needed them most. The entire LOH staff and volunteers could not have been more caring and supportive!
