I was brought on the Board of Directors as a non fireman, community member. Along with two other community members we get to influence the business making duty of the board who runs the fire company. After serving on many boards this is by far the hardest working board I have ever been a part of. Things are done and presented at the meeting, it is not a work session, it is a decision making session. As new ideas are presented they are worked on immediately and while not everyone thinks things should be done the same way, through discussion the best decision is reached and adopted by all.

There is strong fiscal responsibility and a strong working budget with transparent, user friendly, financial reports.

In addition to adapting the company to ever changing county fire department policies, accomplishing the first merger with another company in the Baltimore County Fire Department, and building a better station to attract members and better be able to protect the community they also man the equipment and respond to more than 10 calls a day making it one of the busiest stations in the county.

I am proud to be a part of this progressive organization and look forward to serving into the future.
