Review for Austin Guinea Pig Rescue, Austin, TX, USA
I found Austin Guinea Pig Rescue as an adopter. My male guinea pig was lonely, and the rescue helped me find a perfect friend for him. They are an incredibly experienced team of good people. My Hayes came with a clean bill of health and an experienced support team: The rescue helped me with guidance on how to care for my guinea pigs, and good advice when one of them sprained his ankle. I have since adopted repeatedly from them. I’ve been so happy with this rescue that I wanted to give back, so I became a sanctuary foster for two of the older guinea pigs they are caring for. It’s been the most rewarding experience to me, as I love guinea pigs. You see, dog and cat rescues receive support from bigger donors or the city. Few people know that small furry animals are also given up to local shelters, where they do not thrive. Their welfare and rescue is completely up to dedicated private rescuers who use their own time, homes, and resources to care for guinea pigs finding themselves stranded and in need. You see, guinea pigs also wholeheartedly believe that they are born to be adored, and want to be served fresh vegetables, pellets, and hay daily. Please enjoy some pictures of my own cute overlords. Won’t you find it in your heart to support the selfless, brave, and wonderful people who have dedicated their lives to running the Austin Guinea Pig Rescue and connecting families with their best small pet experience?
Review for Central Texas SPCA , Leander, TX, USA
Central Texas SPCA is a wonderful shelter. They care deeply for their dogs, whom they rescue from under-resourced county shelters and place into loving homes. They also care for the humans: When you work with the SPCA, you know you are adopting a fully vetted pet, and they’ll help you with introductions to your resident pets. Great experience!
Review for Texas Pollinator PowWow, Cleburne, TX, USA
The Texas Pollinator Powwow is amazing. I give pollinator talks, have a certified pollinator habitat at home, and I thank the Texas Pollinator Powwow for my education. Their diligently researched, delightingly well written, scientific posts on Facebook are essential to my daily reading. But they do so much more. They fight for habitat preservation, never afraid to stand up for what is right. Their work in pollinator conservation and public education, through outreach and through their yearly Powwow, mean so much to me. Many people want to help bees and monarchs, but are uncertain as to how. Fear no more. The Texas Pollinator Powwow will steer you in the right direction, with clear, gentle and friendly guidance. I've personally received so much encouragement and great advice from them, it's been eye opening and liberating. Really, support them, you will gain so much.
