Review for 10 CAN, Inc., Newberry, FL, USA

Rating: 5 stars

One of the rare all volunteer non profits that spend all their donations on the people they serve. Creative outreach for Veterans, First Responders, & their Families. Public is always invited to all events. My favorites are Bikers on Parade with Partner Harley Davidson & Survival Race- a grueling 2 day 1 night sleep out after being in a kayak or canoe the whole day.
Great care & discretion is taken with guest especially the battle worn.
Went Nationwide & now our little grassroots start up goes beyond the originators. It is fabulous!!

I am one of the 1St volunteers to work with 10 CAN. Real focus is on the needs of First Responders, Veteran Families & Children. An acre at the farm called "Hero Garden" produced 1000# of food for Blessed Hope Food Pantry & needy families in 2015 ...10 CAN's first full year. There is an after school martial arts class, RAD women & girl's self defense free class.

The family homestead is used as an educational working farm. Grade school children are invited for a day on the farm once a month to feed animals, pull veggies, & experience the quiet-nature close to their homes. Buchholz High School Transitional Students enjoy a Agricultural Partnership. Will teach you to grow Mushrooms & sell honey at market from a Veterans Farm.

Awesome Business & Community Partnerships have been formed & Sponsors can see their Donation at work.

Events like Annual Father Daughter Dance, Mother Son Pic Nic, Survival River Race, & First Responder Banquet strive to involve the community.

There are still many opportunities for all to volunteer, donate, attend, & become involved.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I would find a way to have all the movers & shakers in our town come to our yearly Symposium.
