My last trip to HACIENDA ORPHANAGE in Tijuana was such a joyful experience! The children ran to our bus and the smiles on their faces were warming to my heart. Many people I have spoken to about my trip had the perception that it would be heart breaking for them because of the poverty, uncleanliness and poor living environments. HOW VERY WRONG THEY WERE WITH THAT PERCEPTION! I have worked as a developmental specialist for the Regional Centers in California with children for over 20 years and have been to a variety of socio-economical environments and homes. The standard of living in these orphanages BY FAR are full of love and care. You can tell by the smiles and behavior of the children. These children are so fortunate to have the support of all the volunteers and donors from Corazon de Vida. I am committed to returning each month to offer my support and love.
