The Miracle Foundation is an organization that I have fallen in love with over the past 2 years. I chose to fundraise for them while running the Austin Half Marathon in February of my junior year of high school, and little did I know that the day before my run I would be able to hear the founder, Caroline Boudreaux, speak about her love for the organization at the TedX Youth Conference. I was inspired by her story and of the way that the organization combats the issues with orphans. I recently went on a service trip to Haiti, and I've really been thinking about efficient ways to make a difference because we discussed the role of creating dependency and taking away local jobs. Miracle works with already existing places and with locals that are able to be trained and then share their knowledge. The 12 Rights is a wonderful standard that I truly believe in, and I love knowing that we are helping more children be able to make their mark on this world. As a fundraiser and now an intern, I can guarantee that your experience with the staff and organization as a whole will be filled with nothing but love. These are people working towards such an important cause with so much passion and spirit. Thank you, Miracle, for teaching me so much & giving me hope for the kids of the future!
