Review for Information Technology Disaster Resource Center Inc, Fort Worth, TX, USA
In March, Deweyville, TX, experienced catastrophic flooding. As a resident of Deweyville and employee of Deweyville ISD, both my home and place of employment had significant flood damage. Our school district lost an entire campus and about half of the employees had damage to their homes. Being a small, rural district, our resources were limited to begin with, but with this damage to our town... we were basically crippled. ITDRC came in and setup at Deweyville High School and proved invaluable in getting our district back up and running. They worked long hours, nights, weekends and even Easter Sunday... and always showed up to help with a smile. They cataloged and prepared hundreds of donated laptops and desktops for our teachers, staff and students. Any time we ran into a technology-related issue of any kind, they were there with a solution. ITDRC worked hand-in-hand with Region 5 Education Service Center's technology staff to setup new classrooms and computer labs. They networked all of the computers to workroom printers and found printers for classrooms. And this just scratches the surface of the assistance they provided to Deweyville ISD, volunteers and residents. ITDRC staff members are talented, kind, hardworking people. Without their help, our staff and students would not be able to return to school and begin getting back to a new normal. ITDRC staff are angels with skin on.
