I just wish there were six stars! This is a phenomenal foster-based animal rescue organization. While the numbers rescued are now in the thousands, it's really the quality of care (and true love & commitment) that separates this organization and its volunteers from the rest. AAUPR doesn't just skim the "easy to adopt" animals out of shelters. It takes more difficult cases, as well...animals that would certainly be "put down", due to age, abuse, injury, and uncontrolled illness. It's an equal opportunity saver! In fact, I became aware of AAUPR through a Facebook post, asking for contributions for a kitten named Devin. Devin had been tossed from a moving car and his back legs were paralyzed! Devin was saved and now, lives a full life with a tender-hearted Dad and a vet Mom! As the cat leader at AAUPR reminds us, "There is a lid for every pot!" Thus, there is a family for every pet!

The men and women who volunteer and foster are truly outstanding. Their love and commitment to the animals they rescue is unmatched. Their integrity (and thus that of the organization) is unparalleled. They are mindful stewards of the donations they receive.

I now foster while I "winter" near Atlanta each year. What an incredible experience that has been! I also contribute each month. I choose to give more to AAUPR than any other organization, other than my church. I absolutely know that AAUPR leaders are exceptional stewards of donations!!!

Fostering cats has truly changed my life for the better. Although disabled, I've found something to make a positive & meaningful difference in this world. I'm wrapping up my second "winter" and fostering my fourth kitty. I have four personals, as well! Although I've had cats my entire life, the other fosters have a wealth of practical experience and advice, and have taught me so much. That's the beauty of fostering for AAUPR. Although diverse, we simply share a passion and a commitment to these animals. I've gained several dozen new friends.
