It's about time a rescue organization acknowledged that cats housed with loud barking dogs is very stressful and causes them to be more scared and withdrawn. KPOH is exclusively for cats which allows them to heal and learn to trust humans again giving them a true chance to be adopted. Most shelters/rescues euthanize too quickly deeming cats unsociable or feral because they are too scared in these loud small cage shelters and they don't have the time to assess their demeanor properly. Cats are very different than dogs in social settings, but are treated the same :(
