I have been a fan of Kitty's Purrsuit of Happiness for many years now. I learned about Shelley and her tireless work to save all cats and kittens through Facebook and began making donations to support her work. I have never seen anyone work as hard as Shelley and with as much passion and dedication to try to make the lives of felines and humans better. Shelley and the rest of the volunteers who run this wonderful nonprofit are not only selfless and caring, they are also very knowledgeable about cats and how best to care for them. I have had the privilege of not only donating to the organization but of also being a beneficiary in the form of adopting two sibling kittens who were rescued from a kill facility in Tennessee and transported to me. Of special note is the work that KPOH does to rescue cats in the most dire of circumstances, e.g hoarding, injured strays on the street, etc. No cat is ever turned away when care is needed and this comes at a cost. Like many nonprofits, there are never enough financial resources to cover everything. Honestly, KPOH is probably the finest rescue organization I have ever worked with and I look forward to working with them for many years to come. I hope others will consider supporting their important work.
KPOH loves and nurture cats with serious health issues, senior cats, and feral cats who have no hope, we are in awe of their dedication and compassion! I will be forever grateful to them for rescuing our Luxor, who was abandoned on the streets. He is now loved, adored, and a beloved member of our family and will never have to worry about not being taken care of or thrown out ever again!
KPOH helps special needs kitties heal and thrive, whereas others are quick to euthanize. Thank you for not being the status quo and being what a rescue organization should be!
The lady who runs this organization is simply outstanding! She saw my German Shepherd running along Hwy 281 and pulled over to help her. My dog is practically the size of her, but she somehow managed to get a leash on her and got her in her vehicle. She also spent the time of coming to my place to see if this was my dog. I didn’t even know Kojo got out, and the traffic could have killed her. I can’t thank Shelly enough, and for her caring about all animals, especially since they are a cat rescue!
There isn't a more caring group than KPOH. They've been invaluable in helping with several dumped cats through the years. Thanks to them, no more feral kittens are born, and those that were adoptable were also fixed and found amazing homes. They say it takes a village, but I say, all it takes is KPOH! Thank you for caring!
Only good things to say about a top-notch Rescue effort! Thank you for giving cats a chance, and doing whatever it takes to help them. God Bless!
There aren't enough words to express our gratitude for this organization's kindness! We reached out to many for help regarding a scared cat we saw at a gas station. KPOH was only the one who answered, and also took the time to trap and get this kitty to safety. We happily adopted her and named her Chevron! Thank you for caring and going the distance, literally!
KPOH saves kitties AND their humans! As the saying goes, “Who adopted who?” Without the help of KPOH, I would not have found my most special companion, Spooky :) Spooky brings SO much happiness & meaning to our family...we are forever grateful to Shelly for the hard-work, dedication, & thoughtfulness in all they do to run such a tremendously special organization ~THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS!!!
I’ve been a proud supporter and seen their good work for several years! Many photos of all the kitties are shared on social media, which show the ongoing care and wonderful lives these once unfortunate kitties are now living. KPOH is truly a God-send for helping so many souls!
This big fella was once a tiny, scared kitten that wandered into our garage. We don’t know what happened to his mama or the rest of his litter, but we knew we had to do something. With KPOH’s help and guidance, we fostered him. Long story short, we are a foster-fail and Grayson is part of our family!
They are such a wonderful organization that helps so many abandoned cats in the community, thank you for being so caring!
KPOH is so awesome! The founders are knowledgeable and caring people who truly care about all animals, not just cats. Thank you for all your help and support. What a wonderful organization!
I've been an avid supporter for many years and have witnessed many great rescues by this group! They put in the effort to rescue themselves because animal control will only take a cat off the street to put it to sleep if it's injured or severely ill. It's only a matter of time before many cats meet their fate living this way, and that is why KPOH steps up!
I ran into the founder while buying pet food and we struck up a conversation regarding cats. Long story short, I am grateful for her taking the time to let me know about the dangers of the flea medications featured at this store and the importance of reading the food labels. I previously chose pet food from what was said on the front, not the smaller print on the back. It's not every day someone takes the time to help someone, this group really cares about all pets, not just the ones under their care. Thank you!
This organization goes above and beyond! They taught us that cats are true obligate carnivores needing meat and that dry cat kibble food is not recommended. We appreciate the vault of knowledge about nutrition, wellbeing and behavior to properly care for cats. They also are adamant about doing home checks to ensure their rescues are going to save homes.
This rescue goes above and beyond to help cats get off the street. Their sanctuary is the cleanest, and happiest place I have ever seen animals enjoy. They truly raise the bar and provide better lives for the overlooked cats that are usually left to die.
From the bottom of all of our hearts, we are so very grateful to KPOH for their compassion and assistance in helping a cat we saw climbing up into vehicles in a parking lot at a restaurant we were eating at. Thank you for caring about the ones that are truly in danger!
This was the first Cat Rescue I adopted from, and my experience was fantastic! My sweet baby girl is loved and spoiled by our family, and she brings so much joy into our lives. The selflessness of the founder who leads this rescue has me in absolute awe. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you do and helping abandoned kitties have a chance to live happily ever after! ❤️
My husband and I have always been concerned about cats in Bulverde, TX. We’ve even seen some clinging to branches of trees during severe rainstorms in front of HEB. Years ago, we contacted KPOH because cats were being killed by vehicles. They worked feverishly and got over 25 tame cats out of there. We recently saw one walking along the fence in front of us while eating at Sonic. We were disheartened to learn that this area was under the care of another organization because it appears to be out of control again, which is even more concerning with all the heavy construction in the area and the upcoming plans for HEB. We are grateful for what KPOH was able to help in the past.
KPOH does amazing work. I have followed them for a few years and adopted my Jodi from them last year when no one else wanted her. She only had one eye and is the sweetest girl ever. This group is wonderful for what they do, and I’m grateful that they care about the less fortunate pets and believe they all deserve loving homes!
I've been supporting KPOH for several years, and they've become my top charity. Their dedication to rescuing and addressing abandoned and feral cats in need is truly impressive. I'm grateful to have found an organization with such a broad scope of compassion, and I’ll happily continue supporting their efforts!
This remarkable organization saves cats that would otherwise be euthanized due to health conditions requiring lifelong medical and home care. Their facility photos showcase clean, cheerful living spaces where the cats thrive. They also maintain and care for several cat colonies throughout the community. I'm proud to support them through donations, as their dedication to providing loving care for every cat in their charge is truly heartwarming and appreciated!
We learned about A Kitty's Purrsuit of Happiness when we wanted to donate to honor our beloved kitty, whom we recently lost to cancer. They care about special needs cats and provide medicine, ongoing care, and a place to live safely. We know our Kiki is smiling knowing that she helped other sick kitties.
Laser is a feral orange tabby that I sponsor, who was saved along with some other homeless kitties during Hurricane Harvey. Supporting KPOH's life-changing work fills my heart with great pride because every cat, regardless of their challenges, deserves a chance at happiness!
I’m always happy to donate to a worthy cause, and homeless kitties deserve love and care as all animals do! Thank you for caring and putting in the time and effort to help them
This is an amazing charity which I have supported for many years. KPOH provides medical care and a caring sanctuary for abandoned cats who suffer in the streets as most die because they don't have survival skills. They rescue cats directly from life-threatening situations, which sets them apart from most rescues who find homes for surrendered pets. They truly go beyond and above and genuinely care about cats that seldom are helped.
Our kitty darted out during a Fedex delivery and we frantically tried to catch her. Several weeks later, we were contacted that she was found and rescued by KPOH. We are so grateful that they checked her microchip, and we got our scared, very skinny baby girl back! Thank you for saving her!
While trying to catch a female cat for spaying, I noticed severe swelling on her head. I contacted KPOH for advice. They quickly identified it as a likely abscess, emphasizing it was an emergency requiring immediate veterinary care. Their prompt, knowledgeable response helped me understand the urgency of the situation. I'm grateful for KPOH's expertise and assistance, thank-you!
A thing that makes KPOH amazing, is their holistic approach to cat rescue. They don't just address immediate needs, they provide direction, education, and ongoing support to cat owners. Their unwavering love for cats, professional approach, and extensive resources make them an invaluable asset to the community. They are highly recommended for their exceptional service, compassion, and life-changing impact on both cats and humans alike. Thank you Shelley!
Some rescues feel that dumping cats at barns is a solution, but it couldn't be further from the sad truth. These poor cats usually aren't fed so that they will hunt, but instead, they wander off looking for food and their way back to the home they once knew. They starve, suffer and get killed in the process. Thank you for not being one of these rescues.
This organization works tirelessly to help cats and even their owners! We had some issues with one of our cats and they were able to provide helpful advice. Thank you!
I saw a post on Nextdoor about a very pregnant cat in our neighborhood and no one seemed to know who she belonged to, nor did anyone care. I'm not a cat person and have four dogs. I reached out to several animal rescues and most didn't respond, let alone were able to help rescue her. I did hear back from A Kitty's Purrsuit of Happiness who not only shared my concern but was able to rescue this poor momma just in the nake of time as she had 7 kittens the very next day. Fortunately, the momma was a grateful tame cat to be back inside so that she could be taken care of, so that she could better take care of her kittens. I really wish people would stop being so cruel and care and not dump their pets.
This is one full-hearted, hardworking rescue that works tirelessly to help homeless cats who most ignore. I've been an avid supporter for several years, seeing their good work firsthand. Thanks for caring about the strays and ferals!
KPOH is our favorite kitty resource for not only adopting, but they continue to be helpful for any questions that come up. They do home checks, check references and are very knowledgeable about health and healthy diets (we did not know the harm that dry kibble food can cause). We follow them on social media and witness all the lucky kitties who receive wonderful care, living happy lives!
Our cat went missing, and after three long days of searching everywhere, we found her high up in a tree. A neighbor recommended contacting KPOH, and within an hour, we had our very scared and hungry kitty back inside safely! Huge thanks to the founder who climbed up the tree and knew how to get her back down safely. We will definitely refer our friends and family for future adoptions!
KPOH cares about getting cats off the streets and not leaving them there to starve or get hit by cars. Cats belong indoors, safe from vehicles and predators!!
We're happy to donate to such a hardworking charity that genuinely cares about homeless cats. We were concerned about cats we saw at a gas station in Dripping Springs, and they were very quick to respond and address the situation to get help to these cats. Thank you!!!
We saw a very scared pregnant cat wandering around the Walmart parking lot and called everywhere to get her help. KPOH was the only one who had the time, and was concerned as we were. This momma was found and taken where she had 3 beautiful kittens two days later. Thank you!!
This organization's dedication to the well being of animals is truly heartwarming. The love, care, and attention they provide to the kitties which most don't have time for is truly commendable. I loved visiting their sanctuary and seeing first hand an amazing facility which the cats certainly found their happiness! I'm proud to support such an incredible rescue!
Our neighborhood cat rescuer, an older veteran who served our country in Alamogordo, New Mexico during the atomic bomb trials, fought the brave fight against various and weird cancers for many years. His great joy during all of this horrendous fight were the cats he helped. He was a regular at the spay and neuter clinics and feed and cared for many feral cats in our neighborhood. He was able to domesticate two kittens and these were his indoor babies who kept him company through many a long a nauseous day after chemo. He loved them very much. He eventually succumbed to his illnesses and his daughter did not want his cats. Our friend had asked another neighbor to feed and care for them while he was in hospital and the daughter, who was anxious to settle the estate and sell his house, assigned the task of "getting rid" of them to this neighbor who himself was a pet parent and could not keep them at his home. So the word went out and we joined forces to find a good and loving home for them. I reached out to many organizations and had very disappointing responses except from Shelley at Kitty's Purrsuit of Happiness. From the beginning, when she agreed to help, she went above and beyond, despite many hurdles, to find these sweet bonded girls a good and forever home which ended up requiring logistical calisthenics across state lines. All this effort was in addition to her never-ending love and care for the other cats she has assumed responsibility for.
Even now she stays in touch with their new family and generously provides updates on their well being. All of us in the neighborhood are so grateful to her and her organization for her dedication to all the kitties. It is my honor and privilege to donate generously to Kitty's Pursuit of Happiness annually.
What an amazing place! Shelley is committed to the health and wellbeing of each and every kitty. She is truly passionate about helping each and every one. She has extended her hand across the country to help others connect in order to do the same!
Absolutely the most dedicated rescue. Shelly works tirelessly to care for homeless, sick, injured, and hungry kitties just needing a chance for a Happy life. She also volunteers to help others across the country, sharing her experience and knowledge to help even more kitties get re-homed. Such a great thing you are doing!
A Kitty's Purrsuit of Happiness Rescue is simply outstanding. Their dedication to helping abandoned and community cats is urgently needed throughout San Antonio as there are so many cats in desperate circumstances. I'm proud to support such an incredible organization.
I'm so thrilled to be with a great group of volunteers who care about helping less fortunate cats. No drama or egos, just a true passion for making a difference for homeless cats and getting them off the streets. All cats are in the best of care and living their best lives in a safe kitty paradise until they get adopted into forever homes.
KPOH came to my aid when a stray cat had kittens on my property. They took in the momma and babies and found wonderful homes for the entire litter. I was so grateful that these poor kitties wouldn't be suffering and homeless out in the elements. Bless you KPOH!
I have had the privilege to not just visit KPOH but also learn new techniques when it comes to rescue and fostering, also the very important nutrition that is needed when treating injured cats. KPOH does tireless work feeding and TNR feral colonies, rescuing cats but also educating the public on the correct animal welfare
I want to give a stellar review to KPOH for their fantastic work in rescuing a sick mother cat and her kittens. I was alerted to the situation by a friend who saw the cat and kittens struggling in the hot sun. I immediately contacted KPOH, and they were there within minutes to assess the situation. The mother cat was severely dehydrated and malnourished, and the kittens were all very young and fragile. The mother cat received immediate veterinary attention, and they all did much better within a few days. KPOH is an amazing organization that is dedicated to helping animals in need.
I AM SO THANKFUL FOR SHELLEY BLESSING AND A KITTY’S PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS! I literally can’t express in words how thankful I am for this amazing rescue and it’s President.
About a year ago, I discovered a colony/cluster of 20+ feral cats in a neighborhood near downtown Nashville. A couple folks in the neighborhood had been throwing them scraps every few days, I noticed, but mice, birds, and forging through trash cans were their main food source. Being excellent survivors, they were getting by, but some were near death from starvation and some were so sick with URIs that their eyes were completely shut and they couldn’t breathe or smell out of their noses from all the dried discharge caked on them. I was able to grab up a few kittens that were very sick and needed immediate treatment, but desperately needed help/resources/funds for TNR for all the adult cats. After months of reaching out to multiple local rescues for help and having no luck, a friend/co-worker referred me to Shelley Blessing, the founder and president of A Kitty’s Pursuit of Happiness. I emailed Shelley, briefly explaining the situation and how I desperately needed assistance. Shelley was extremely responsive and said she was willing to help me/the cats out. She devised a plan, introduced me to the cat trapping guru, Kristine Vedd, who is incredible and I’m so grateful for as well, arranged spay/neuter appts. for 20-25 cats for that week, and offered to pay for the all the vet services. 2 days later, we executed her plan and have successfully TNR’d almost all of the cats! So awesome.
I am so so thankful for Shelley and Kitty’s Pursuit. I’m forever in debt to her for all she did and how responsive and quickly she acted on the situation. I HIGHLY recommend A Kitty’s Pursuit of Happiness for assistance with feral cats. Shelley is the best! Thank you!
(I attached a couple pics of the kittens I took in and also a couple that their new parents sent me at their new forever homes . Also attached a couple pics of the adult cats we TNR’d. *MADE POSSIBLE BY A KITTY’S PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS!)
A neighbor provides little care for cats on his property so they roam the neighborhood looking for food and shelter, basically someone just to care about their suffering. It's sad that some people lack empathy and have little regard for fellow living beings, especially when they have the means. Thanks so much for helping these poor cats!
I’ve been a repeat donor and supporter of KPOH for many years! I love seeing the amazing care that is provided for the cats that few make effort to help off the streets.
Shelley was Godsend to me and my babies. She arranged vetting, transportation and forever homes for my 59 cats when no one in my own state would help, God bless her in all she does
A friend introduced me to this wonderful nonprofit several years ago. I followed along with her website and was so impressed with how caring and dedicated she is in saving as many kitties in distress that I was just amazed. I was able to meet the kitties and see how well they were cared for. I met a special sweet one named Cookie that followed me all over. I asked to take a picture with this special one which I am posting below. Cookie was one of many kitties that was rescued from a sad, scared life that was sure to be ended out in the wild.
I've been a supporter of KPOH for over a decade, and was thrilled that I had the opportunity of meeting the kitties in purrson! This is Coco and me, he is one of the kitties that I'm a monthly sponsor for. I followed his sad story of being abandoned and having some cruel person kick him in the face. He was noticed bleeding profusely from his mouth when he was trying to eat, and was captured and taken immediately into surgery. After a long road of recovery, he became trusting once again and is a very tame, loving kitty, who always wants love and attention! I'm happy that this senior was shown kindness and given a second chance.
Thanks to KPOH, this fella was taken out of a busy parking lot, provided medical attention for being shot multiple times with a pellet gun, and neutered. Although he lost an eye and his front leg had to be amputated, he wasn't euthanized for being failed by humans. Thanks for stepping up KPOH!
I reached out to several animal organizations asking for help for a very skinny cat in our neighborhood. Not only was KPOH the only one who acknowledged my concern, but also provided detailed instructions to get this cat to safety and be seen by a Vet. It was discovered that this cat had a microchip and her owners were grateful that she was found after missing for several weeks. Thanks for making the time KPOH!
I have been following KPOH since I signed up for Facebook. A long time, during which I have seen this tiny rescue evolve, grow into a vibrant and very busy institution. I've have nothing but respect for Shelley and applaud her tenacity, patience, kindness and above all Love for all animals! She has gone into areas after natural disasters (Harvey) to help rescue abandoned animals and find them vet care if needed. From feeding community cats to trapping, neutering, vetting and return those that can be returned to their homes. Shelley has tackled it all with grace and substantial intestinal fortitude. I am so impressed by this rescue, if Shelley needed it I would drive to help! The heart of this little rescue that can is a Veteran and a life long animal lover. The latest KPOH venture is to demonstrate to Texas State Parks that TNR works and their antiquated population control methods are cruel and unnecessary. There is even a petition anyone can sign on ladyfreethinker.com! It is amazing how much work a small but dedicated rescue can do! And this is a can do rescue! My only hope is that more people will see the good and donate to KPOH.
A retired Army Colonel who was a friend and neighbor of mine lost his life to cancer. He lived by himself and left behind to precious kitty cats. It was Shelley and her organization that help find a home for them. It took several weeks before a home was found for them. Shelley did not only find a home for the kitties she transported them to Florida. The live in a loving and forever home thanks to Shelley and her organization. Without her help I feel the kitties would have ended out in the streets. Shelley and her organization are always in my prayers. God Bless you Shelley.

I've been a donor and avid supporter of KPOH for many years, including doing my own fundraising to support their amazing mission of helping cats be saved from dying in the streets. Thank you for your determination and hard work in trying to make a difference!
I adopted a kitty named gator from this rescue, he is such a sweet boy. They go above and beyond to help kitties in need
Our experience was great. The people were caring and easy to work with. They made sure we had everything we needed. We will be forever grateful for the work they do and the assistance they provided us in completing our family. They never stopped caring about our kitties and we still send them updates years later. I love to see the work they are doing, happiness they are providing others, and new kitties they are saving every day.
KPOH is an amazing organization dedicated to helping cats that few care about. I have been a donor for many years and appreciate that they care about all cats, not just ones that tend to be easier to find homes for. They truly care and are willing to put in the effort!
KPOH is a 501 (c) 4 non profit rescue organization. The organization is active in rescuing and saving as many lives as possible.
They are a strong supporter of Trap Neuter and Return
Education is provided on how to be a responsible pet guardian and how to care for your cats

I learned about "A Kittys Purrsuit Of Happiness" several years ago. This is a small devoted and dedicated non-paid group. Because of their love of cats, they make many sacrifices to physically help and rescue from the streets and dangerous situations stray and feral cats who have been abandoned, abused, or who are injured or have special needs . They provide a cage free rehabilitation sanctuary, and provide surgeries, spay/neuter services, vaccinations and other medical services. They also provide care for Trap - Neuter-And Return controlled community colonies in safe locations. It's truly a labor of love! These are kitties that would otherwise be forgotten and left to struggle and die without the help of this organization.
A Kitty’s Purrsuit of Happiness is a caring and hard working group who rescues needy cats and finds them loving homes! Shelley Blessing, the President, promotes spay/neuter and the management of feral cat colonies! I am proud to support this amazing animal-friendly organization!
We adopted 2 sisters in 2012, Missy and Gabby. Their names were inspired from Olympians in the 2012 Summer Olympics. We initially went to get Missy but we could not leave Gabby behind. They are 2 funny kitties and have been wonderful additions to our family ❤️
Always happy to step up and help with transit whether it be supplies during disasters or lucky animals headed to forever homes! Thanks for always making things work :)
Kittys Pursuit of Happiness is a rescue group I've supported for years. They do a lot of great work especially with tnr, rescuing animals in dangerous situations and special needs kitties. While they focus on kitties, they will help any animal. They're a small group that has dedicated their lives to helping animals. They go above and beyond every day.

KPOH is a great non-profit. Not only do they work with groups in Texas, Tennessee and Kentucky but are willing to go the extra mile to solve situations in other states, like going through the local kitty group here in Portland to help stop a kid in an apt complex from killing all the cats around. This was accomplished through KPOH's SOS Saturday program.
Donations go straight to help the kitties. The kitties in KPOH's care are well taken care of like all furbabies should be.
They have helped me personally by helping me care for my own 3 cats better. Thanks to them, I've become a better pet owner. (thanks from Smokey, Onyx and Spunky by the way).
They believe in educating the public as well as getting kitties adopted and helping out others. They are simply a joy to work with.
KPOH started out as an out-of-pocket group but were missing out on many great opportunities to help the kitties and sources of donations because they weren't a non-profit. I am so glad they got their non-profit status and can help out the kitties even more. They do a lot of great work.
The lady that runs KPOH, Shelley, is an awesome person whom I've had the pleasure of meeting when she was still in Nashville. Helping her out has been a great experience and very rewarding over the last few years.
They can always use more help. Your money/time is very well spent by helping them help the kitties.

KPOH's dedication and love for cats is limitless! They go to great lengths to get cats out of public parking lots instead of leaving them there to suffer and eventually get killed by traffic. People wouldn't leave dogs in these situations, but few seem concerned when it comes to cats. Shelley puts in the effort and time to help cats that few will. I'm always happy to donate for auctions and fundraisers! Thanks for going the distance for cats - literally!!!
I adopted a bonded pair five years ago from KPOH, and they are the loves of my life! Meow has kept in touch with me through the years to see how they are always doing which shows that she really does care above and beyond. She even came personally for a home check, and knows they continue to be spoiled rotten and have a really good home forever home!
I've been a supporter of KPOH since 2010 when they first started in Nashville, TN! The founder goes to great lengths to help desperate situations and personally helped me get out of hospice so that I could be with my kitty for her last months of life. I miss her so much, she was my world. Thank you KPOH for making this happen!
I have worked with this organization numerous times and they are FIRST class!!! The feedback I’ve received was prompt and very informative during my support of this program....it was the BEST experience I’ve ever encountered!! Keep up the great work and your efforts have not gone unnoticed!! God Bless!!
The lady that runs this rescue is the hardest working animal advocate that I have ever seen! She never seems to tire! Her passion for saving homeless, abandoned, sick, or endangered cats is nothing short of heroic.
I came upon Kitty Purrsuit of Happiness sometime back and as a rescued cat Owner my self, I have 3, I was so impressed with them. They not only are faithfully dedicated toward helping feline furbabies but one can feel the love that is within their committment to them, and even for those not yet rescued. I am a new donor and plan to continue my support so they may continue to do their sometimes heart wrenching rescues that not only brings physical care and protection but life altering changes for God's precious gifts called kitties.
I have had the pleasure of receiving valuable advice from Shelley on many many occasions and this has been invaluable in saving health and on number of times also lives of my cats. Furthermore I have also spent time volunteering at the sanctuary and observing Shelley’S relentless work with cats in her care. Shelley’s knowledge of cats nutrition and health is encyclopaedic and vital in what she does. The sanctuary offers amazing home for the injured, malnourished stray and ferals. Shelley has truly dedicated her life to cat rescue and also education of others on this matter.
I've known Shelley for many years and have nothing but admiration for her fierce dedication to helping animals. She and her organization are a true asset to the rescue world.
This is an amazing Rescue. Caring and always will to help. Truly Blessed to know them. They have helped me many times throughout the yrs of Rescue. I highly recommend
I have never personally met Shelley with Kitty’s Purrsuit of Happiness, but we have communicated through email and Facebook for years. Her compassion and dedication to animals is commendable and inspiring. Her organization is one of the few I donate to regularly because I am so grateful for all the rescue work she does.
KPOH is a wonderful Organization- dedicated to saving cats and kittens from the most horrific circumstances, including hoarding. It was thru a hoarding situation I first worked with KPOH and brought the most beautiful cats into my home. Many of these are in such bad shape, medical care is very expensive, but KPOH does it all.

KPOH is an incredible charity and has helped hundreds of kitties find loving homes and get needed medical care. The director is the most incredible person with whom I have ever worked and I have been rescuing animals for 20 years - this is her passion and I have seen her go out in horrid weather, night after night, to rescue a cat. She raises funds to get them medical care and transport to a loving home - but she also spends her own money! Because of KPOH the world is a much better place for cats!
I started following Kitty’s Purrsuit of Happiness quite awhile ago. Shelley is such a great person, does so much for the cats. I try to donate as often as I can because this is such a worthwhile organization. Donate when you can, it is worth it!
I have been donating to Kittys Purrsuit of Happiness for several years now. The work this charity does is amazing and I can't even imagine how many kitties have been helped over the years. I live in England so have not yet been fortunate enough to visit this amazing rescue charity. I do however follow the regular updates via Facebook and love seeing all the pictures of the cats who have been so lucky to have been saved and cared for. I look forward to supporting this fantastic cause for many more years xx
KPOH is always willing to go the extra mile for kitties everywhere! Shelley has stepped in multiple times for extreme situations for kitties in need, once saving a huge amount of kitties from one hoarding situation in West Virginia. Helping the kitties to get life saving medical care, clean and comfortable housing, and adopted to happy homes! These kitties will give many years of happiness to their new families. 100% of donations received goes toward kitty care, and a good bit of her own money as well! A charity that really does what is says!
I have been following this organization since Freedom stole my heart. So many amazing stories and the woman who runs it works so hard and has such a big heart. All of these babies are so well taken care of it just makes my heart happy.
I have followed this non profit for years now. Her tireless efforts to help any animal in distress or need reminds me that there are still amazing people out there. Because of this I choose to donate to her efforts. She is amazing.
I have had the pleasure of meeting a young lady two years ago while working on a project to save our wildlife in our neighborhood. Her name is Shelley Blessing and she worked tirelessly on educating our group as to how wildlife interact with humans and simply leaving their habitat alone and letting Mother Nature do what she has done for eons to ensure their survival. Her most important role besides her family is her love for the feline and helping those that are too young or helpless to make it own their own. She personally takes on the task of feeding the strays with the ultimate goal of capture, neuter and release and was instrumental in passing a law within our county to stop the senseless killing of cats once they were captured. She has a great 'follow through' with any assignment asked of her and is very active in attending the seminars given on both a State and National level to ensure no animal is abused or neglected. Shelley personally takes care of the cats that no one wants and cannot be adopted out - those that may only have one eye or three legs or so weak they cannot stand. She has a heart that will not quit giving and will travel into other counties at her own expense to help a cause that is dear to her - the safety and survival of any feline in distress. I turn to her for advice on proper care and medical issues with my own cats and is always happy to assist as she feels as they are her own. Shelley is dedicated beyond the norm and will see to it daily that no cat goes hungry. Her organization KPOH is constant in its goal of dedicating the proper care, safety and concern of any feline in distress. I feel very fortunate to know Shelley Blessing and her non-profit organization A Kittys Purrsuit of Happiness.
I am a long time supporter of Kitty's Purrsuit of Happiness so we travelled from Manitoba,Canada to see it in person.
I was very pleased to see the cats so well cared for.
A kitten was recently rescued Who had a broken leg (someone had thrown it over a fence). That little kitten wouldn't have survived with out Kitty's Purrsuit of Happiness.
The day to day running of the shelter requires alot of work, resources & campassion.
This organization needs continuous support and they definitely have mine.
A Kittys Purrsuit of Happiness is one of the best Kitty rescue organizations in the world.
I have been involved with them for several years, having transported many cats to their care.
I know that every donation I provide goes for the best care anywhere for the cats and kittens taken off of the streets and safely out of harm's way.
People like "The Meow Matriarch" make the world a better place.
I believe KPOH is unique in that devoted itself to those unfortunate kitties with special needs. There are a lot of rescues out there and to focus on the more compromised and therefore less desirable cats would take very selfless, time consuming and costly endeavors. For that reason, I TOTALLY support this particular rescue!!!
I am a rescue advocate and have worked with many rescues over the last few years. When I first became involved, I was lucky enough to learn about Kitty's Purrsuit of Happiness, a rescue that is truly the gold standard among rescues. At the time, I was impressed beyond measure with the incredible work being done for a truly horrific situation in Kentucky involving cats being dumped in non climate controlled boxes. But this was just one of many, many situations that the owner/director of this rescue has taken on single handedly saving the lives of countless cats and other animals. I don't know of any other rescue that goes so far above and beyond to help in situations no matter where they are and no matter how difficult the situation is. Simply put, Kitty's Purrsuit of Happiness is in the business of saving ALL the lives that they can.
In doing so, there is complete transparency in all the rescue projects that they are involved in. Despite being incredibly busy running the rescue and all that this entails, the owner/director manages to stay regularly engaged with the community and followers, and also takes the time to provide solid advice and information on nutrition and many other things from her vast knowledge and experience caring for the cats and kittens that have been lucky enough to be rescued by Kitty's Purrsuit of Happiness.
My only wish is that there were more rescues like this that were run in such an exemplary manner by such an incredibly passionate, kind, generous, capable and hardworking person. A person who truly makes miracles happen without taking any shortcuts and who ensures that every cat saved is given the very best care no matter what ❤️
I can only say one thing about kitties pursuit of happiness they are one awesome group of people we have helped them out by raising money to help their kitties and we had a fire December 19th 2017 and she started a fundraiser for us and rain about $700 for us to get back on our feet just to let everybody know that group is the best at helping kitties and other and helping people I wish I could do more for her be a sponsor for one of her kitties right now I'm waiting on my house to be repaired and it here in the future I will be sponsoring one of her kitties monthly donation form so they have plenty of food and veterinarian
I have been donating to kittys purrsuit of happiness for about 2 years. This is a wonderful rescue group, that helps as many as they can. Love seeing the stories and pics on how far the kitties have come. I think people should check out there page.
Thank you so much for your amazing dedication in community advocacy and exposing inhumane deer culling in River Crossing. It's time for the POA to end this ineffective cruelty and not let hunters volunteer. Kudos for being on News 4 San Antonio!
It was very heartwarming to see this organization step up and help one of their volunteer families who lost their home and pets during a fire at Christmas time. Thank you for all you do!

Such a wonderful adoption experience from beginning to end! Learned about the importance of nutrition and how detrimental declawing a cat is - NEVER trust a Vet who tells you otherwise, find another as they clearly do NOT have your cat's best interest at heart! KPOH had so much valuable information and clearly CARE about their adoptions as they do not put their kitties through the stress of public adoption, but instead, take the time to bring the kitty to your home and make sure everything is ok! Wow, wouldn't the world be a much better place for pets if all adoption agencies took the time to care? Thanks so much for our Gypsy!
Kittys Purrsuit of Happiness is a great rescue. Why? This small rescue goes out of its way to rescue and help even the serious cases. It does not shy away from seriously hurt cats, the old ones, the special need ones or the ferals. (They do also take in the regular ones, just to add that. :-) ) There is no "pick and choose" here. There is only compassion for felines in need.
However, compassion is not enough. This organisation cooperates with other rescues, also across state lines. They are uptodate on latest veterinary issues. To put it in a nutshell - they know their kitty stuff.
So, Shelley Blessing is truely aptly named for she is a blessing to cats in danger and need. I therefore give Kittys Purrsuit for Happiness five stars and a happy meow.
Any cat lucky enough to be at this rescue has it made! Shelley is one of the most caring people I’ve ever known and she spends countless hours helping as many kitties as she can. These cats are showered with love, great medical care, and endless compassion! I can’t say enough great things about this rescue. She has also helped me numerous times with advice about my own kitties that have had medical issues. A+
I first heard of Kittys Purrsuit of Happiness approximately 4 years ago through Homer Blind WonderCat's Facebook page. At that time, the organization was trying to find homes for over 60 cats dues to the owner no longer being able to provide for the cats. I adopted two of those cats, MILO and JET. Both cats were transported to me from Tennessee at no cost. Both cats arrived neutered, vetted and with supplies including a cat bed, food and toys. Since that time I have helped support this organization that helps cats in difficult situations and often cats that no one is willing to invest time and money into. Recently one of my own cats was very sick with intussusception (his intestines had collapsed into itself) and KPOH helped raise some funds to assist with the cost of the surgery. This organization does a great job of rescuing abandoned cats, having them treated medically and finding new homes for them as well as caring for feral cats.
Got to know this wonderful rescue through a campaign they made to save many cats that an older lady could no longer care for and in spite of all the odds all the cats were rescued. I've followed them for a long time and I've witnessed their hard work in different circumstances such as a hurricane hit until campaigns to spay and neuter cats born to suffer in Central America. Every day cats are saved and are alive because of this incredible and caring rescue.
I've been a supporter of KPOH for several years! During this time I have not only received assistance in emergency situations but have witnessed their "no-excuses" leadership in several disaster situations throughout several states that others better equipped, refused to help. I wish all organizations were as hardworking and transparent. I wish there was a higher rating than 5 stars!
Shelley is amazing for what she does for all of these kitties! She goes above and beyond and uses what little funds she has to ensure that all the kitties have the best quality of care possible!
Shelley cares about her cats more than anyone I have ever met. She works tirelessly around the clock to rescue kitties and find them good homes. We adopted our fur baby Izzy last year and have had a great experience with KPOH. Shelley is always available to answer questions and checks in on Izzy to make sure we are doing well. KPOH does great work, specializing in helping kitties with various medical conditions that other places would likely give up on. The heart of this organization is great and this is an organization I am so happy to have found.
Most rescues will cherry-pick from shelters so it's amazing to find a group that truly cares about all cats, not just the ones that can be adopted quickly or has the most pledges. Kitty's Purrsuit of Happiness traps all of their rescues, and if one is injured or sick they receive medical and surgical care and placed into a safe sanctuary environment. Their sanctuary is a cat's paradise!
Shelley reached out to me after she saw the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey in my part of town. She asked how my 4 kitties and I were doing, and whether we needed help. I was desperate to have someone take my kitties out of my toxic home and foster them for a short time till I could decontaminate and sanitize their space. She and her husband made a 6-hr+ round-trip to pick the kitties up, and she took care of them at KPOH for three weeks; then she made the long trip back again to bring them home. She helped me get them settled in their new digs and counseled me with advice for better nutrition. God bless this lovely, caring patron saint to kitties. We love you, Shelley and KPOH, and thanks for everything.
Always happy to donate to this wonderful rescue who works so hard at saving cats that few would take the time or effort. There is always an abundance of updates and photos of not only the cats, but also of the amazing sanctuary that they are living in. I would highly recommend supporting this group!
The amount of care and hard work that goes into this organization is immense. The organization is always looking for ways to help cats in need and find a way to better house them. The atmosphere is loving and supportive. Cats are give as much attention as they need. Their needs always come first. They are given medicine if needed and even syringe fed by hand to make sure they are getting adequate nutrition. Nothing but love is found here!
I have never met a more caring and loving person of this non-profit. She goes above and beyond for her rescued kitties and will not place them in a home that is not deserving of them. Thanks for all your hard work Shelley!
A safe haven for the lost and homeless kitties in the neighborhood and it's surrounding area. I wholly support the efforts of KPOH. A strong daily presence on FB, with updates and evidence of the caring and care of the needs of the homeless. Always getting the needed vet care, the love and understanding, the comforts of a real home type situation, KPOH is solely focused on taking care of kitty needs and diligently pursues a Kitty's PURRsuit of Happiness. The lucky kitties may get adopted, but the kitties who may stay for their entire lifetime are still lucky kitties. KPOH is entirely supported by donations, smile.Amazon gifting, and FB campaigning and is always grateful for every gift, even offering sponsorships of the kitties who reside there. A hardworking, tirelessly motivated woman and her family and friends, her FB followers struggle in the fight to feed, vet and support KPOH. Every penny is used for the kitties. Visit their FB page!
We were saddened to learn that many of the dog rescues in San Antonio refused to help dogs abandoned and starving in a dump site. We adore our little guy who was pulled out of this situation and appreciate that a cat rescue stepped up to save him!
KPOH is so knowledgeable in all cat care and their help with our diabetic cat actually got him off insulin! We are so happy and see such a change in him, we wish our Vet knew nutrition and holistic medicine. Thank you KPOH!
"Every pet deserves a home, but not every home deserves a pet" if more organizations took the time to help their adopters like KPOH does, maybe there wouldn't be so many homeless animals. KPOH cares and is always available with knowledgeable assistance. We also appreciated learning about the importance of proper nutrition, which we thought we already knew, but were shocked that we were only going off of what the pet food companies lead us to believe. Thanks for taking the time and putting so much effort into your adoptions KPOH!
It's about time a rescue organization acknowledged that cats housed with loud barking dogs is very stressful and causes them to be more scared and withdrawn. KPOH is exclusively for cats which allows them to heal and learn to trust humans again giving them a true chance to be adopted. Most shelters/rescues euthanize too quickly deeming cats unsociable or feral because they are too scared in these loud small cage shelters and they don't have the time to assess their demeanor properly. Cats are very different than dogs in social settings, but are treated the same :(

THERE ARE FERRELL CAT COMUNITIES ALL AROUND SPRING BRANCH THAT THE SAME PEOPLE HAVE CARED FOR FOR YEARS AND YEARS. THE FERRELL CAT PROGRAM SPAYS NEUTER AND ALL SHOTS AND ADDRESS ANY HEALTH ISSUES. YOU NEED TO FIND OUT ABOUT THESS COLONIES (THAT ARE WELL CARED FOR) BECAUSE YOUR GROUP IS TRAPPING CATS THAT HAVE BEEN PETS FOR PEOPLE FOR YEARS. RECENTLY YOU TRAPPED A CAT THAT YOU TOOK AWAY FROM ITS COMPAMION. THE COMPANION IS HEART BROKEN. SETTING TRAPS TO CATCH CATS AND THEN LEAVING THE CAT TRAPS UNATTENDED IS ENDANGERMENT TO THAT ANIMAL AND IS ANIMAL CRULTY. WE SAW ONE OF YOUE TRAPS THAT WAS NOT CHECKED FOR 4 DAYS. THERE HAS BEEN VERY BAD WEATHER HERE THE STRESS THESE ANIMALS MUST FEEL IN A TRAP IN UNBEARABLE. PLEASE STOP TRAPPING OUR PETS!!!!! I LOVE MY FERRELL CATS AND HAVE TAKEN GOOD CARE ON THEM FOR YEARS. I ALSO HEARD THE POLICE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU BECAUSE LOTS OF OUR PETS ARE MISSING.

A Kittys PURRsuit of Happiness 05/18/2016
"Professional with expertise in this field" of "FERRELL" cats - Please post within the comment section below, the vet records of your "pets" because the ones that we stay out until all hours of the night to rescue, are neglected, suffering, sick, shot, injured, and pregnant cats that have been rescued as requested by the community merchants from their business parking lots. If these are your pets, please know that you are in violation of the city ordinance laws and that we certainly would be so grateful to be reimbursed for the thousands of dollars spent on their care.... We do have photos and hospitalization/ medical records on every single one as well as the other rescues who have stepped up to help these cats. If not, surely you will remove this post so that those concerned will not feel the need to review the Animal Rescue Connection and the San Antonio Feral Cat Coalition who are run by the same person. Thank you.
Kitty's pursuit of Happiness is a dedicated and compassionate rescue. They are always saving many kitties in need and for a small rescue they accomplish many a miracle.

This is a wonderful organization!!! The individual who runs this organization is amazing in what they are able to do with so little. They have saved countless kitties and given them an opportunity to have great lives. Not only do they do things for there organization, they willing go out of there way to help other kitties in different states as well. Truly an organization worth supporting.
This organization does amazing, lifesaving work on behalf of homeless and needy cats! I have adopted 2 cats from them that were transported to me personally from out of state, and am a frequent supporter of their efforts. The founder Shelley tirelessly works to save cats in need and has made such a difference for many suffering cats on the street with amazing compassion.
I've been involved with several animal rescues all over the country for many years and I can say Kittys Purrsuit of Happiness is one of my favorites! I've never seen a more dedicated and caring organization which does so much with sometimes so little from feeding and vetting the ferals from the streets to finding the best homes for its cats; this organization never stops caring for any cat that crosses its path. Because of its proven dedication, it's always the first organization I give to when I can.
I love the work of this organization! It is a true blessing for kitties. I personally know the head of KPOH and have adopted 2 kitties from her. Please consider supporting!
I adopted two cats from KPOH at different times. It was important to me to adopt from an organization that fosters their animals, so I could better tell what their true personalities were going to be like. KPOH worked with me to make sure I was placed with cats that would fit into my existing home setup. This made a big difference in easing the transition of the new additions into my particular lifestyle, and with current resident felines. It was an enjoyable experience from start to finish, and I would recommend anyone use KPOH to find their feline best friend(s).
Very happy with my adoption experience and can't remember what our life was like without our kitty Char Coal! Would definitely adopt again from Kitty's Purrsuit of Happiness as well as donate to help other rescued cats. Thank you!
We have adopted 4 cats in total through the years from Kitty's Purrsuit of Happiness and it has always been a pleasure. They are quick to answer any questions we have and we love sharing updates and photos. They have even helped us with getting one of our older cat's health better. Thanks for being a top notch organization!

KPOH was so helpful in helping us choose the perfect kitties for our family! They have a very detailed adoption application, answer all questions and concerns and have always been available, and we adopted over 3 years ago! We love interacting and sharing our kitties on their Facebook page. They are amazing as they do the rescuing themselves - they aren't hand given to them with donations or grants, which is truly very rare. Thank you for all you do!
If only all rescues put in as much time, effort and care into the animals they rescued as KPOH does - this world would be a much better place! I am on my 4th adoption from KPOH because not only are they always available to help with any questions, they also check and see if everything is going ok. They did a home check which I was surprised that most don't. Not only was this a great experience, but I learned so much having their experience and being hands on. They were able to also assist with some issues to help not only our new kitty feel more welcome, but also our kitties to be welcoming to their new little brother too. The knowledge about food was beyond helpful. I have made many recommendations for people to adopt from KPOH and will continue to do so!
Great non profits are passion based journey's with a framework to execute a mission. Kittys Purrsuit of Happiness is indeed a passion based journey for Shelley Blessing the Executive Director of KPOH. She has a way of drawing people into the mission and creating a positive next chapter for so many cats and kittens that would have had no other option - especially a forever home .
KPOH is funded only through independent donors including the Blessings. I joined the Board of KPOH to assist the team in creating an even stronger framework to expand the mission and funding of KPOH. It's rewarding to see the wonderful stories of the kittys' and their new families.
Yes, I speak from experience. I too adopted an amazing cat from KPOH. The team is a wealth of knowledge and coached us through lot's of "parenting" questions.
I encourage you to consider making Kittys Purrsuit of Happiness part of your philanthropic and giving - weekly, annually - whatever you can do. Together we can reduce hunger, reduce the cat population via TNR and create more heartwarming stories of kittys' finding their forever homes. Join us on this journey.
I've become a strong supporter and donor with Kitty's Purrsuit of Happiness. I believe in their good works.
We adopted a special needs cat from Kitty's Purrsuit of Happiness. The process was very thorough and geared toward ensuring "Lance" was going to a loving home.Lance had been extremely ill from a rescue situation, KPOH and the wonderful community nursed him back to health and gave him a second chance at life. Lance was provided with transportation and in home visit to again ensure that there was a match. We are very grateful - Lance is a lover and has become an amazing part of our family - thanks KPOH!
I met Shelley through my daughter. I found her to be a very caring and loving person. She is passionate about the animals under her care. Forever homes is the ultimate goal for every animal she rescues.
This rescue has stepped up to address horrible situations when other organizations (with way more resources) have turned their backs. The cats in their care lack for nothing - completely vetted (and maybe even a little bit spoiled). Those thrown away by others thrive at Kitty's Purrsuit of Happiness.
There is NOTHING that this rescue will not do to help voiceless animals in distress.
KPOH rescue is one of the few rescues that actually put the money towards the animals and carefully choose homes for their kitties.
I would recommend this rescue to anyone who cares about animals.
We've helped KPOH with several transits so that rescued kitties can get to their destinations FAST without having to be handed to a new inexperienced driver ever hour or so. They even do a lot of their own driving to get the critical need kitties to Central Texas Cat Hospital to Dr. Smith, who is the president of the Feline Academy of not only Texas, but of the entire USA - which is the largest feline entity in the world! Don't know of any rescue that cares or works harder than KPOH!
Most rescues will only take cats with the most pledge money and the ones they think they can adopt out quickly - NOT KPOH! They do their own rescues from the streets and have many special needs kitties that most will not bother to help. They also go to extremes to find the perfect home, provide nutritional support and ongoing care, as well as do home checks to ensure the wellbeing and safety of each kitty. Wish more Rescues put this type of effort into taking care of animals. Thank you KPOH!
I have been supporting KPOH for number of years and they have been very transparent in how raised money is spent and how efforts of involved people is being used. Recently I have been a recipient of KPOH support from across the ocean when I rescued yet another poorly stray cat. I will continue supporting the tireless work KPOH does as I believe they do great job rescuing animals but also educating people.
No one cares about cats more than KPOH! I have done many things for this non profit. I am a proud owner of 3 of the kitties too.
What an AMAZING organization! What out of state, let alone local Rescue do you know can get 60 cats - not just 49, but 60 all vetted and placed in less than 3 weeks time? KUDOS Kitty's Purrsuit of Happiness - you always step up for the special needs situations, instead of sitting back and only taking in the pretty adoptable kitties that are handed over with pledge money. You are a TRUE RESCUE!!!

A Kittys PURRsuit of Happiness 08/13/2015
Our gratitude to Homer's Heroes who stepped up and worked with us feverishly, to help get all of these cats moved from this property within 3 short weeks. It was epic and indeed a complete miracle!
They had a you caring page set up to collect money to euthanize 49 cats. When I and several others asked questions about the cats they deleted the comments and blocked us! The you caring page is now gone, and they have made no apologies to anyone. Were there ever 49 cats that needed saved in WV? No one knows. No legit rescue would behave in this way.

A Kittys PURRsuit of Happiness 08/13/2015
Malicious nonfactual attacks on social media from individuals who have had no interaction with our organization whatsoever, will of course be refused. Were 49 cats ever saved in the short 3 weeks with no funding and no place for them to go? Actually, there ended up being 65..... http://www.gofundme.com/homersheroeswv
Beware of this non-profit. Their fundraising efforts and mission do not seem to line up. Not only do they place a request for public donation to assist in euthanizing healthy animals, they continue to accept funds for that specific purpose even after the animal's safety from their own charade is obtained.

A Kittys PURRsuit of Happiness 08/13/2015
Did your Dog Rescue personally assess these CATS to determine that they were healthy? Did your Dog Rescue have any interaction in this hoarding situation at all? No. http://www.gofundme.com/homersheroeswv
This so-called "rescue" is currently attempting to raise funds to have 49 cats put to sleep in West Virginia, though there are WEEKS left to find them homes and KITTYS PURRSUIT OF HAPPINESS is in TEXAS. Why are they trying to KILL cats in another state?! It defies sensibility!

A Kittys PURRsuit of Happiness 08/13/2015
Your entire review clearly indicates that you did not comprehend ANY of the crisis documented and clearly stated, yet sadly you chose your review to be malicious. http://www.gofundme.com/homersheroeswv
Kitty's Purrsuit of Happiness loves animals so much, they often even help other rescuers with their situations. This is hardly ever heard of in the rescue industry! KPOH has helped many kitties that no one else would give the time of day to, as well as goes out and physically does the rescuing where other rescues usually get their animals handed to them with either an intake fee or pledges. KPOH is more motivated and successful than most of the large orgs that have many volunteers and donations. Please donate to KPOH, everything they do is amazing for the animals! Thank you Kitty's Purrsuit!
We adopted a special needs kitty from KPOH and not only have received detailed health records, but they continue to help with concerns and questions long after the adoption. We love sharing our updates on their Facebook page and will always be a grateful client for life! Thank you for helping those who do not have a voice, nor come with funding!
This Rescue goes out and rescues cats directly whereas most will take owner surrenders and pull from animal services. Street cats do not come with pledges but KPOH works hard to get these cats taken care of, vetted and healed, then adopted into amazing forever homes. It's amazing as to how many cats KPOH has helped in various states, not just locally!
KPOH has been able to accomplish so much with so little - the owner of this rescue is wonderful to work with, she cares so much about the kitties that others seem to have forgotten about it! I love donating to this rescue when I can as I know it goes to care for, protect and save more animals! She is a true angel to these fur babies!
This is one of the great rescues that I have had an opportunity to deal with. KPOH unlike many rescues out there deal with feral colonies, dumped/sickly kitties and hoarding situations as well as any other disaster that she is asked/ able to help out with, such as the displaced animals in the flooding situations. The animals KPOH don't come with a purse such as some do when they are pulled out of a shelter and are sponsored for hundreds or thousands of dollars for their care. The kitties that KPOH rescues only come with love and affection for their rescuers and as wonderful as that is, it won't pay for the medical so they need help from anyone that is willing to help out the kitties. I have had the honor of trying to do my little part to help out this organization for the last couple of years even before it came before non-profit. It is a definite place that I will continue to try to help as well as getting my employer to company match my gifts to help KPOH stretch the dollar a little further and be able to help more kitties/animals in need.
This is the best non-profit charity that I have donated to. Shelley whom runs it loves all animals and goes above and beyond to help cat's in dire need of help. I have donated to others and found that the money they collect does not all go to help the animals. Kitty's purrsuit of happiness uses 100% of the donations for her cat's. That's is why I donate to them
